Raise your stein and celebrate at Oktoberfest Houston near the Heights on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

The annual Oktoberfest Houston features live music, food, fun and lots of beer northwest of the Heights.

Sample more than 50 craft and imported beers from Hofbrau, Warsteiner, Paulaner, Bitburger and more. Local breweries in attendance include Karbach, 8th Wonder, Buffalo Bayou, Cycler’s and more. Light beer, cider and wine will also be available.

Live Music & Entertainment

Dance to polka and country music from live bands and musical acts, with a lineup that features Thieving Birds, Justing Van Sant, Chris Rybak, Auf Geht’s, Hill Country Jane and DJ Big Reeks playing throughout the day on two different stages. Attendees will also be treated to special performances by the Texas Renaissance Festival and Das Ist Keine Kunst German folk dancers.

Snack on festival fare like funnel cake and corn dogs, plus German food from vendors like The Dog Haus, Saussibun and Krolak’s Polish Deli.

Dirndls and lederhosen or cowboy boots and hats are highly encouraged.

Fun Zone & The Olympiad Games

The Bud Light Fun Zone offers the chance to play cornhole, giant jenga and Giant Connect 4, while the Oktoberfest Olympiad arena allows those with a competitive streak to take part in German-style games like the barrel roll, stein race and the legendary brat toss, or traditional beer pong and flip cup tournaments.

The brave and brazen can also try their hands in competitions for stein hoisting, yodeling, best-dressed German attire, and the Raising Cane’s chicken dance contest. All games are powered by the Houston Sports & Social Club so make sure to sign up early at their booth.

General admission includes a mini beer stein and 12 two-ounce beer samples. Get a designated driver ticket if you plan to enjoy the festive atmosphere but skip the beer.

VIP ticket holders will enjoy complimentary brats, Raising Cane’s chicken, giant warm german pretzels and strudel. Karbach Krunkin Pumpkin, Karbachtoberfest, Saint Arnold Art Car IPA, No Label Nightmare on 1st and more beers will also be available in the designated VIP area.
