  • Toddler Tuesday: Read to Me at Discovery Green | Tuesday, September 22 | FREE – Bring the kids and the swim suits for this week’s foam party. Remember to bring your old books to swap for new ones each week. 10:30am.
  • Swing, Jive & Pop! Into Dance at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Tuesday, September 22 | FREE – The energetic dance company travels from the 20s to the 30s, 50s, 70s and today, with era-specfic music, dances and costuming. 11am.
  • Immersive Peter Pan 360 at the Threesixty Theatre Tent | Wednesday, September 23 to Sunday September 27 Kids and parents can enjoy the music, acrobatics and special effects at this show that’s proven so popular that it’s been extended another week. Showtimes vary.
  • The Velveteen Rabbit at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Wednesday, September 23 to and Friday, September 25 | FREE – See a production of The Velveteen Rabbit performed by Houston Grand Opera at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Guests of all ages will enjoy this family-friendly opera. 11am both days.
  • Music at Twilight at Mandell Park | Wednesday, September 23 | FREE  Bring a blanket and a picnic and spend an hour enjoying music from Hearts of Animals. 7pm.
  • Take Me Outdoors Houston at Discovery Green | Saturday, September 26 | FREE – Explore fands-on education and fun outdoor activities. 10am to 3pm.
  • Blue Cure Night Run in Downtown Houston | Saturday, September 26 – Race, walk or stroll through Downtown wearing glow necklaces at the Blue Cure Night Run. The event raises funds to help dads, husbands, brothers and other men to prevent and fight prostate cancer prevention. The 5k starts at Sam Houston Park and ends at City Hall. $35; $20 for children 17 and under; $20 for post-race zumba. Free to watch. 6pm to 10pm.
