- Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival | Friday to Sunday – Chow down on wild shrimp during this festival in Galveston. Sample creations from the Cookoff during the Gumbo Stroll, race in the 5k Fun Run, check out boats in the Outdoor Show, watch the Lil’ Shrimps Parade and more. Events range from free to $50. - Lend Me a Tenor at Houston Family Arts Center | Friday to Sunday – The Tony-winning farcical comedy set at a 1934 gala fundraiser is filled with saucy innuendos, mistaken identities and slamming doors. $23: limited discounted $11.50 tickets available. Showtimes vary by day.
- Gem, Jewelry, Mineral and Fossil Show in Humble | Friday to Sunday – Explore displays and exhibits of gems, minerals, fossils and more – perfect for gifts, as home decor or jewelry for yourself – during this show in Humble. There will be activities for the kiddos and demonstrations for adults. $8.50 including ticket fees; free for children 10 and under. Times vary.
- International Night Market at International Trade Center Square | Friday and Saturday | FREE – Celebrate the many international cultures that make up Houston’s population with food, drinks, music, a kids zone and more during this evening market at the International Trade Center. 5pm to 11pm both nights.
- Noises Off at Playhouse 1960 | Friday and Saturday – Often called “the funniest farce ever written,” Noises Off reveals the hilarious backstage antics of a troupe of small-town actors attempting to stage a stinker called Nothing On. $18; limited discounted $9 tickets available. 8pm.
- Meet Artist Peter Max at Off the Wall Gallery | Saturday and Sunday | FREE – Catch artist Peter Max while viewing his exhibition during an appearance at Off the Wall Gallery. While this event is free, RSVPs are required and can be made by emailing rsvp@offthewallgallery.com. Times vary.
- Peter Pan at The Threesixty Theatre | Daily – Experience Neverland in a whole new way as the cast of Peter Pan performs in the Threesixty Theatre – a partial tent, partial theatre structure with a circular stage and seating from every angle.
