Shop to the music at Pop Shop Houston

Browse the handiwork and wares of more than 90 Houston-based artists and vendors at Pop Shop Houston, an indie craft fair, art market and mini-music festival at Spring Street Studios on Black Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30, 2013.

Expect to find vendors, artisans and makers offering one-of-a-kind crafts and unique and interesting gifts at the cool shared art space of Silver Street Studios. This alternative to Black Friday is a shopping event is filled with family-friendly entertainment as well, including music, a vintage video game arcade, science lessons from Bright Minds, and a crafts table for both kids and adults. The first 25 people to arrive on both days get free goodie bags.

Friday

  • Here Come the Girls – noon to 4pm
  • Children’s Storytime with Francelle Blum – 2pm
  • Reverberation DJs – 4pm to 8pm
  • Live Performance by Macc Grace and Los – 5pm
  • Bootown Puppet Performance – 6pm

Saturday

  • Here Come the Girls – noon to 4pm
  • Children’s Storytime with Melissa Williams – 2pm
  • Bootown Puppet Performance – 1pm
  • Stuart of A Fistful of Soul – 4pm to 8pm
  • Live Performance by Fat Tony – 6pm

The event is free to attend, but if you purchase a VIP pass for $15, you’ll get a goodie bag, access to the VIP lounge with light bites and drinks, and free play at the vintage video arcade.
