Have a holly jolly Christmas with 10 of our favorite bars that are open on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2015.

With plenty of bars opening their doors early in the evening on Christmas Day you’ll have no trouble finding a place to talk about the presents you gave and received with our list below.

10 Bars to Spread Cheer in the Loop on Christmas Day

Midtown

  • Continental Club – Enjoy a Christmas show at this Mid-Mainstay with Charlie and the Regrets taking the stage at 9pm and Grand Old Grizzly set to headline at 10:30pm. 9pm to 2am.
  • Wooster’s Garden – This beer-forward bar has become a local favorite since its opening in July last year. See what the fuss is all about and raise your glass to their wide selection with over 50 beers on tap and cocktails to boot. 6pm to 2am.
  • Little Woodrow’s – Enjoy watching the Rockets play the Spurs in Houston from the comfort of a pub this Christmas with plenty of local beers on tap and cocktails to help cheer Houston on to victory. 7pm to 2am.

Montrose

  • Poison Girl – The Montrose favorite whisky and bourbon bar will open its doors in the early evening Christmas Day. Birthday or not be sure to try the infamous Poison Girl Birthday Shot if you’re feeling the holiday spirit. 7pm to 2am.
  • Rudyard’s British Pub – Take back a pint in the bar that has been described as ‘Houston’s living room’ since opening in 1978. If you somehow come hungry after your holiday dinner be sure to take a look at the menu – The Rudz Burger comes highly recommended. 5pm to 2am. Kitchen closes at Midnight.
  • West Alabama Ice House – With the weather looking right for it, spend your Christmas on the neighborhood patio of this picnic table-style beer bar. The patio is also dog-friendly if you’d like rover to join. 2pm to 2am.
  • Bar Boheme – Nestled in the quaint Fairview side streets of Montrose, Boheme is the perfect wine bar to relax at after finishing up presents with the family. Set in a refurbished historical building featuring a 6000 square foot garden, this is the choice spot if you’re looking to relax patio-side in the afternoon. Noon to 2am.

Rice Village

  • The Ginger Man Pub – Whether you’re enjoying the scenic back patio or the beautiful hardwood floor interior of this Rice Village beer-only bar, you’ll find Ginger Man is a great place to escape or spend time in good company this Christmas. 6pm to 2am.
  • Under the Volcano – Featuring a varied selection of frozen mixed drinks and colorful decor, Under the Volcano will keep you chilled in the village when the weather will not on Christmas Day. 7pm to 2am.
  • Kelvin Arms – This Scottish pub located inside a former bank vault offers a wide variety of beer and scotch for those looking to get their specific fix on the 25th. 8pm to 2am.
