Culture & Cuisine 7: Appreciation of Vietnam at Kim Son Restaurant
Thursday, August 3, 2017 | 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm$29
Culture and Cuisine continues its monthly showcase of the food, people, and culture that is shaping Houston and the world today.
For August, the dinner features cuisines and speakers representing Vietnam. While dining on a Vietnamese feast, served family style, guests will hear from a few different speakers, who will share their stories about the culture of their home country, and how it has shaped their experiences in Houston.
See Houston from a Vietnamese perspective and be a part of the movement to eliminate the notion of “us” and “them.”
Enjoy a variety of an authentic Vietnamese family style menu including:
- Sup Bat Buu Do Bien (tofu and seafood soup)
- Goi Sua Tom Thit (Summer Salad Delight)
- Cha Goi Trieu Chau (Shrimp Roll)
- Bo Luc Lac (Flame Broiled Filet Mignon)
- Cai Lan Xao Toi (Gailan Garlic Sauce)
- Ca Hap Gung Hanh (St. Whole Fish w/Ginger Scallion)
- Mi Xao Don Do Bien (Seafood Crispy Egg Noodle)
