In our Where to Brunch series, we search Houston’s vast array of neighborhoods for the very best brunch offerings. 

With the restaurant-heavy Memorial City Mall and CityCentre, this teeny area of town is an absolute brunch destination.

Here’s a look at the best of the bunch.

The General Public

Sitting pretty in the bustling CityCentre, posh pub The General Public offers farm-fresh food and a fun time.

Sip $1 mimosas while you take down Cinnamon French Toast with fresh berries and whip; crushed tomato Shakshuka with buttered baguette; and Three Egg Omelet Sandwiches stacked with bacon, tomato, mayo, arugula, and melty cheddar.

Those looking for something a bit lunchier can dig into Shrimp Caesar, Bacon Burgers, and Green Chile Grilled Cheese.

Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm.

Radio Milano

Order Italian-style brunch and lunch plates a la carte, or go for the gold with a three-course prix fixe feast for $30.

Start with a creamy, dreamy burrata salad or light, refreshing parfait; move onto mains like Grand Marnier French toast or hanger steak & eggs; and finish with sweet stuff like tiramisu, bread pudding, or housemade fruit sorbet.

Add bottomless mimosas for $10.

Sunday 10am to 3pm.

Sal y Pimienta

Go outside the brunch box with a South American buffet, featuring a rotating selection of everything from whole suckling pig and grass-fed tenderloin served with chimichurri, to chilaquiles with sunny-side up eggs.

Oh, and empanadas, ceviche, crab and yuca cakes, and quatro leches.

Cost is $32.99 per person, plus tax and gratuity; and you can add on endless bevys for $16.

Sunday 11am to 3pm.

State Fare Kitchen & Bar

Come with a crew to State Fare Kitchen & Bar.

That way, you can go splitskys on gutbusters like the Bayou Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Birria Benedict, Southern Fried Chicken & Biscuit Sandwich, and XXL Bacon Praline Griddle Cake. 

There are salads, too, if you’re into that.

Saturday and Sunday 9am to 2:30pm.

Tipping Point Restaurant & Terrace

Head to Hotel ZaZa’s Tipping Point Restaurant & Terrace for al fresco dining and a lounge experience overlooking the Beach Club.

Brunch options include Breakfast Tostada with smoked sausage, hatch chili, and Oaxaca cheese; Bourbon Brioche French Toast; Everything Bagel & Lox; and Spicy Crispy Chicken.

Tack on morning cocktails like the Elote Mary or Toasted Maple Martini (which is like waffles and syrup in drink form).

Daily open to 2pm.
