- Eureka Heights Summer Camp at Eureka Heights Brew Co. | Saturday, July 1 | No Cover – Nostalgic jams and fun and games (including a hot dog eating contest) will take you back to the glory days of summer camp. Expect special camp-themed drinks including the Field Day, a raspberry lemon wit, and the Belly Flop, a cream ale with hints of blackberry and mango. 2pm to 6pm.
- Houston Soul Food Festival at the Zone | Sunday, July 2 – In Southwest Houston, the Houston Soul Food Festival features 30 vendors from Dallas, Houston, Austin and beyond, offering the best of barbecue, fried chicken, turkey legs, collards, and more, with vegan and keto options available. There will also be a lineup of small businesses to shop from. $5; free for ages 14 and under. Noon to 7pm.
- Fourth of July at B&B Butchers & Restaurant | Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4 – B&B Butchers & Restaurants has a great view of the Freedom over Texas fireworks extravaganza from its parking lot, so it’s inviting guests to join them for a celebratory dinner this Independence Day. In addition to the regular steakhouse menu, guests can enjoy a duo of TX Wagyu Hot Dogs with steak fries and all the accouterments for $28. Reservations are encouraged. 4pm to 10pm.
- Texas Restaurant Awards & Lone Star Bash at 713 Music Hall | Sunday, July 9 – Foodies can enjoy the ultimate celebration of the Texas Restaurant industry, featuring tasty bites from 20 local restaurants, specialty cocktails from Houston mixologists, live music, and more. $175 and up, with tickets to the Bash only (starting at 8pm) for $150. 5pm to 11pm.
- Rémy Martin Cognac Dinner at Brennan’s of Houston | Tuesday July 11 – Brennan’s will host a Rémy Martin Cognac Dinner with special guests Zachary Russell and Ana Colmenares in celebration of the French holiday, Bastille Day (July 14). Enjoy four-courses beginning with Telmont Champagne and including tastings of Rémy Martin VSOP and Rémy Martin XO. $175, plus tax and gratuity. 6:30pm to 10pm.
- Landry’s Houston Chef Series: Dining Through History at Multiple Locations | Wednesdays, July 12 to July 26 – Landry’s invites guests to dine through history during its annual Houston Chef Series this summer, held on select Wednesday evenings through August 9. This month, Brenner’s on the Bayou Chef Ryan Braden will take guests through a “War of Roses” inspired menu featuring Fish and Chips, Pistachio Crusted Lamb Loin, Queen Cake and more (July 12); Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse Chef Roger Ortiz takes inspiration from “The Sixties With a Twist,” featuring dishes such as Shrimp Rumaki, Veal & Wagyu Meatballs and Pineapple Crème Brûlée (July 19); and Willie G’s Seafood Chef Brandon Soverall goes full “Viking Age” with dishes such as Smørrebrød, Lobster & Mushroom Beserker, and Whole Smoked Trout. $125 and up. 7pm.
- The Insatiable Glass & Live Jazz at Ouisie’s Table | Thursday, July 13 – Ouisie’s has brought back its summer jazz and wine series, The Insatiable Glass & Live Jazz on select Thursdays. Along with a live set from local jazz group Times 4, guests who purchase a main course can enjoy endless wine sampling for $35. Reservations are strongly encouraged as space is limited. 6pm to 9pm.
- Loco for Coconut Party at Truck Yard Houston | Friday, July 14 & Saturday, July 15 | No Cover – Truck Yard’s monthly fiesta is going Loco for Coconut this time, saying Aloha! on Friday starting at 5 p.m. and lasting all day on Saturday. Don your tropical best, crack coconuts, and sip luau drinks with hula dancers. Friday 5pm to 2am; Saturday noon to 2am.
- Brewsology Beer Fest at Houston Museum of Natural Science | Saturday, July 15 – Beer nerds can hit up HMNS after hours for a night of brewsology. The event features dozens of local craft breweries and cideries, and your tickets include access to the museum and exhibits, and beer samplings. $50 and up; VIP options available. 7pm to 11pm.
- Summer Grilling 101 at R-C Ranch | Wednesday, June 21 – Attendees can learn from the professionals at the Houston Farmers Market butcher shop with this summer grilling class, covering techniques and recipes to get you comfortable using a grill. $100; includes the demonstration and bites. 6pm to 7:30pm.
- Tex-Mex BBQ Block Party 2023 at Saint Arnold Brewery | Sunday, July 23 – This second annual event celebrates the influence of Tejano and Tex-Mex cooking traditions in Central Texas–style craft barbecue. More than a dozen pitmasters will serve up bites of smoked brisket tacos and flautas, crispy prime brisket chimichangas con queso, and smoked pork shoulder pozole. ‘Que vendors include John and Veronica Avila (Henderson & Kane), Eudel Hernandez (Pizzitola’s Bar-B-Cue), Richard Orozco (Heights BBQ), Alec Varnell (J-Bar-M Barbecue), and several more. $70 and up. 1pm to 4pm.
- Potterfest at Urban South HTX Brewery | All month long | No Cover – The Arts District brewery is celebrating Harry Potter’s birthday all July long, featuring specialty beer releases, plus Friday Night Flicks featuring three Potter films—Sorcerer’s Stone on July 7; Chamber of Secrets on July 14; and Prisoner of Azkaban on July 21—followed by a night of Harry Potter trivia on Friday, July 28. To cap it all off, the brewery hosts a day of Hogwarts magic on Saturday, July 29 with themed drinks, live entertainment, a Diagon Alley vendor market, and more. Times vary.
