Catch music’s biggest talents at these must-see live shows and concerts around Houston from Monday, February 26 to Sunday, March 3, 2024.

The Rodeo arrives this week, bringing with it the first six performers to headline massive shows at NRG Stadium, including opener Blake Shelton, 50 Cent, Hardy and Iván Cornejo.

Elsewhere around town, you can catch pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo, as well as a slate of indie rockers, anime tributes and the songs of the one and only Etta James.

  • Crosses at House of Blues | Tuesday, February 27 – The dark wave super duo of Deftones lead Chino Moreno and Far guitarist Shaun Lopez bring their second studio album, Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete to the House of Blues stage when they roll through on their Familiar world tour. $39.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Olivia Rodrigo at Toyota Center | Tuesday, February 27 – Livie hive rise up because the multi-platinum recording artist and pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo is taking over Toyota Center with her Album of the Year-nominated, Guts. Tickets are sold out at the venue, but you may find hard-to-get seats using the online marketplace. 7:30pm.
  • Rodeo Houston: Blake Shelton at NRG Stadium | Tuesday, February 27 – Yeehaw Houston, get ready to kick up some dust because the one and only Blake Shelton is riding into NRG Stadium for a rip-roaring concert to kick off the 2024 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo $25 and up, but you may find hard-to-get seats using the online marketplace. 9pm.

  • Josiah & the Bonneville at White Oak Music Hall | Wednesday, February 28 – The Americana indie pop star and former American Idol contestant brings his 12th studio album, Endurance, to the White Oak stage. $16.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Rodeo Houston: Carly Pearce at NRG Stadium | Wednesday, February 28 – After recently notching a Grammy nomination for “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” alongside Ashley McBryde, the rising country star headlines Armed Forces Appreciation Day, where everyone is encouraged to don the red, white and blue and show appreciation for troops past and present. Tickets start at $25, but you may find hard-to-get seats using the online marketplace. 9pm.
  • Voxtrot at the Secret Group | Thursday, February 29 – The Austin-based indie pop band is back together and have their first new music in 14 years ready for the EaDo crowd at the Secret Group. $25 and up. 8pm.
  • Rodeo Houston: For King & Country at NRG Stadium | Thursday, February 29 – The Christian pop duo returns to the Rodeo stage after marking their debut in 2022, bringing songs from their latest chart-topping release, What Are We Waiting For?   • Cowboy Bebop Live: Bebop Bounty Big Band at House of Blues | Friday, March 1 – It’s about to be an intergalactic jam sesh when the 14-piece ensemble of professional musicians blast off into a universe of smooth jazz, funky beats, and wild melodies, straight from the beloved anime series. $35 and up. 7pm.
  • Rodeo Houston: 50 Cent at NRG Stadium | Friday, March 1 – A recent transplant to Houston, the highly decorated rapper debuts on Black Heritage Day with bars from his hit records, including his multi-platinum debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.   • Houston Symphony presents At Last! A Tribute to Etta James at Jones Hall | Friday, March 1 to Sunday, March 3 – Celebrate the timeless magnificence of the R&B matriarch’s soulful music as it is brought to life by her own two sons, Sametto and Donto; her longtime friend and guitarist, Josh Sklair; and vocalist Crystal Monee Hall, live with Steven Reineke and the Houston Symphony. $34 and up.   • Rodeo Houston: Hardy at NRG Stadium | Saturday, March 2 – Making his Rodeo debut, the country rocker brings tunes from his sophomore release, 2023’s The Mockingbird & the Crow. Tickets start at $25, but you may find hard-to-get seats using the online marketplace. 5pm.
  • Houston Choral Society presents Music of the Moment at West University Baptist Church | Saturday, March 2 – This modern musical journey consists of choral works exclusively from the past decade, showcasing the innovative and diverse voices that make up today’s musical landscape. The night includes a world premiere by composer Heather Sorenson, who will be in attendance for a pre-show talk. $30; $15 for students; free for ages 11 and under. 7:30pm.
  • Blue October at 713 Music Hall | Saturday, March 2 & Sunday, March 3 – The iconic alt-rock band, H-town’s own Blue October are quite fittingly taking over the 713 for two straight nights of music from their Spinning the Truth Around musical trilogy. $53 and up. 8pm.
  • Rodeo Houston: Iván Cornejo at NRG Stadium | Sunday, March 3 – The rapidly rising regional Mexican music star, the teenage Iván Cornejo makes his Rodeo Houston debut with songs from his first two albums, Alma Vacía and Dañado, as well as new tunes from a yet-to-be-released record. $25 and up. 5pm.
  • Jenny Lewis at House of Blues | Sunday, March 3 – The former Rilo Kiley lead singer and guitarist brings her 2023 summer solo album, Joy’All to Downtown’s House of Blues. $35 and up. 7pm.
