  • Etran De L’aïr at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, October 3 – The family band from Niger brings their dynamic repertoire of hypnotic solos and Saharan rock melodies, blended with a “desert blues” guitar style. $20. 7pm.
  • 45th Annual Festival Chicano at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Thursday, October 3 to Saturday, October 5 | FREE – One of the oldest, ongoing events of its type in the world returns to the Hermann Park stage, celebrating Chicano music—from Tejano and conjunto, to mariachi and orchestra—with Jay Perez and David Marez on Thursday, Little Joe y La Familia and Los Desperadoz on Friday, and Elida Reyna y Avante and Avizo on Saturday. 7pm nightly.
  • DaCamera: the Spanish Harlem Orchestra at Wortham Center | Friday, October 4 – The 3-time Grammy Award-winning salsa and Latin jazz band comes to Houston for an unparalleled musical experience, with high energy precision playing and mesmerizing vocals. $51 and up. 8pm.
  • Apollo Chamber Players: Liberty at the Hobby Center | Saturday, October 5 – The ensemble opens its season with this reflection on freedom, love and the triumph of the human spirit. Legendary actor and activist George Takei tells the story of his family’s forced internment during World War II. The evening also features the world premiere of a newly adapted commissioned work by John Corigliano, one of America’s most celebrated living composers, and Afghan-born composer Homayoun Sakhi offers a global perspective on the promises and perils of self-government and the eternal quest for liberty. $39.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Danny Ocean at Bayou Music Center | Saturday, October 5 – One of Spotify’s most streamed Latin artists, the Venezuelan singer, songwriter and record producer comes to Houston on his first North American tour in support of his album Reflexa. $55 and up. 8pm.
  • Carin León at Toyota Center | Sunday, October 6 – The singer-songwriter and global Mexican music sensation, León became the first Latin artist to perform at the both the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Festival this year. He lands in Downtown as his Boca Chueca Tour comes to Houston. $99 and up. 8pm.

  • A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie at 713 Music Hall | Monday, October 7 – New York City-born rapper, singer and songwriter Julius Dubose is best known as A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and for his hits “Still Think About You”, “Me and My Guitar”, and “Jungle”. $42 and up. 8pm.
  • Orville Peck at House of Blues | Tuesday, October 8 – The South African country musician known for concealing his face with masks and other props, brings his Stampede Tour the House of Blues music hall for one show only. $65. 6pm.
  • Gangstagrass at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, October 11 | FREE – Gangstagrass is a 5-piece multi-racial collective of musicians who demolish preconceptions people have about bluegrass, country music, and hip-hop music. They’re best known for their theme to the FX television show Justified. 7:30pm.
  • The Red Clay Strays at 713 Music Hall | Friday, October 11 – Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, the country rock band are best known for their 2022 single “Wondering Why”, which went viral on TikTok in 2023. $70 and up. 8pm.
  • Boyz II Men at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Saturday, October 12 – Headlining Magic 102.1’s Majic Under the Stars, the beloved vocal harmony crooners Boyz II Men will be joined on the Woodlands stage by Robin Thicke and 112. $59.50 and up. 7pm.

  • Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra at Toyota Center | Wednesday, October 16 – Led by original frontman and founder, the English rock band ELO, known for “Mr. Blue Sky”—recently popularized in the opening to Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2—”Don’t Bring Me Down” and “Last Train to London” land in the Rockets home stadium. $69 and up. 8pm.
  • Suki Waterhouse at House of Blues | Thursday, October 17 – Following her albums I Can’t Let Go and Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, the English indie pop artist, singer-songwriter, actress and model takes the Houston stage, with Bully opening the show. $41.50 and up. 7pm.
  • The Woodlands 50th Anniversary Free Concert: Lyle Lovett, Hayes Carll & Jack Ingram at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, October 18 | FREE – Join in a celebration of The Woodlands’ 50 years headlined by country and American artists Lovett and His Large Band, Carll, and The Woodlands’ native son Ingram. 7:15pm.
  • Musiqa: Sound & Light at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, October 18 | FREE – Houston’s own contemporary chamber music group performs live against a background of moving visual art accentuating pieces like Anthony Brandt’s Diabelli 200, Karim Al-Zand’s Cinderella and Pierre Jalbert’s Visual Abstract. 7:30pm.

  • Judas Priest at Smart Financial Centre | Tuesday, October 22 – With 50 years under their collective belt, heavy metal legends Judas Priest headlines the Invincible Shield Tour, joined by special guest Sabaton. $60. 7:30pm.
  • Post Malone at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Tuesday, October 22 & Wednesday, October 23 – The extremely popular rapper, singer, songwriter and guitarist brings his blend of hip hop, pop, R&B, trap, and country to The Woodlands for 2 nights, joined by Muscadine Bloodline and Dan Spencer. $67 and up. 8pm.
  • Conan Gray at Smart Financial Centre | Wednesday, October 23 – The pop star and songwriter, whose multi-platinum hits “Heather” and “Maniac” have topped streaming charts and shaped Gen Z culture around the world, commands the Sugar Land stage for one night. $39 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Dashboard Confessional at Bayou Music Center | Friday, October 25 – The alternative indie band that formed at the tail end of the ’90s, and known for hits like “Vindicated”, “Screaming Infidelities”, and “Saints and Sailors”, comes to Downtown Houston. $60 and up. 6:30pm.
  • Cody Johnson at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, October 25 & Saturday, October 26 – Originally from nearby Huntsville, the country crooner and guitarist performs 2 live shows on The Woodlands stage, with guests Ashley McBryde and Braxton Keith. $72. 7pm.
  • Leela James, with Macy Gray in Concert at Bayou Music Center | Sunday, October 27 – R&B and soul singer James is joined by the powerhouse Gray for a night of riveting, moving music in the Theater District. $54. 7:30pm.
  • Gladys Knight at Smart Financial Centre | Wednesday, October 30 – The Pipless 10-time Grammy-winning Knight will showcase her musical chops and hits honed over the course of her 60 year career, sure to include chart-topping hits like “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “That’s What Friends Are For.” $50. 8pm. 
  • Morrissey at 713 Music Hall | Halloween, Thursday, October 31 – If he doesn’t cancel the show (a lifelong trend), the beloved ’80s and ’90s moody alternative crooner, known for “Girlfriend in a Coma”, “Everyday is Like Sunday” and will grace the stage inside Post Houston.
