Sunday, November 16[/quote_box_right]Cooler weather aligns perfectly with more indoor events and activities, including the 6th annual edition of the increasingly popular Houston Cinema Arts Festival, Disney on Ice: Princesses and Heroes at NRG Center and the Ice Land Ice Sculptures at Moody Gardens in Galveston. For those wanting to enjoy the cooler temps, there’s still plenty to do outside, including free outdoor movie screenings, the Around! Parade on Wheels in the East End and the Karbach Charity Pub Crawl in Downtown.

- Houston Cinema Arts Festival | Daily – Check out this five-day event packed with film screenings at venues all over the city. Presented by the Houston Cinema Arts Society, HCAF 2014 will have something for every viewer. Prices and times vary.
- Nutcracker Market at NRG Center | Daily – Get your holiday shopping done early at the Nutcracker Market where vendors will be selling something for everyone on your list. $15 in advance; $16 at door. Thursday and Friday 10am to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm.
- Disney On Ice: Princesses and Heroes at NRG Stadium | Daily – Join Elsa, Anna, Olaf and the rest of your favorite characters for Disney on Ice: Princesses & Heroes. Tickets start at $17, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. Times vary.
- The Who’s Tommy at Obsidian Art Space | Daily – See the the rock opera based on Pete Townshend and The Who’s classic 1969 double album about a “deaf, dumb and blind kid who sure plays a mean pinball. $37.50; limited $18.75 discount tickets available. 8pm both nights.
- Traditions Transfigured: The Noh Masks of Bidou Yamaguchi at Asia Society Texas Center | Daily – Take a close look at the exquisite art pieces inspired by and expanded from Japan’s dramatic Noh theater tradition and try a couple of masks on for yourself. Daily 11am to 6pm. $5; free for Asia Society members and kids 5 and under.
- Dear Santa at Theatre Suburbia | Friday and Saturday – Check out the series of short plays about the man in the red suit told from the viewpoint of children in this comedic show. 8:30pm both nights. $16; limited discounted $8 tickets available.
- Late: A Cowboy Song at 14 Pews | Friday and Saturday – Follow the story of a woman who is searching for true love and learns that sometimes you have to look out of the box in Late: A Cowboy Song. $10; limited discounted $5 tickets available. 8pm both nights.
- Ice Land Ice Sculptures with Spongebob Squarepants at Moody Gardens in Galveston | Daily Starting Saturday – See 20 ice carvers transform 900 tons of ice into a frozen version of Spongebob’s Bikini Bottom at Moody Gardens in Galveston. $26.95; $21.95 Seniors; $15.95 Children. Noon to 10pm.
- National Cheerleading Association’s Lone Star Classic at NRG Center | Saturday and Sunday – Watch as cheerleading squads compete against each other in this NCA championship. $12 spectators; free for children 7 and under. Saturday 9am to 6:30pm; Sunday 8am to 9pm.
