  • Walk to Cure Psoriasis at Discovery Green – Lace up for a 1k or 5k walk to raise funds to battle psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. 7am to 10am.
  • Rice Village Flea | FREE – Explore the hidden treasures of a cool, curated market featuring antiques, vintage good, curiosities, “up cycled” furniture and other things too interesting to be names. You’ll find it at the corner of Times Boulevard and Morningside Drive. 10am to 6pm.
  • Crawfish-N-Brews at 8th Wonder Brewery – Enjoy delicious, lip-smacking crawfish, whose preparation is overseen by the Boudreaux family, paired with tasty beer from 8th Wonder. $20 general admission with one pound of crawfish; $30 with five pounds of crawfish. 11am to 6pm.
  • Family Day: Celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at Asia Society Texas Center – Enjoy games, activities, performances and food recognizing Asians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S. $5 for nonmembers; $15 for families of four; $20 for families of five; free for members. 11am to 5pm.
  • 27th Annual Houston Art Car Parade | FREE – One of Houston’s most unique signature events of the year, the Art Car Parade features more than 300 jaw-dropping cars, bikes, skaters, and motorized creatures making their way down Allen Parkway. Festivities open to the public at 10am; parade rolls at 2pm and ends about 4pm.
  • Karbach Pub Crawl for the Robert Garner Firefighter Foundation in Midtown – Starting at Little Woodrow’s and ending at Celtic Gardens, this pub crawl takes patrons to five Midtown stops for delicious craft beers. $20; $40 VIP. 2pm to 7pm.
  • Lady Antebellum in Concert at the Woodlands Pavilion – Hailing from Nashville, Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood bring their fresh country sound to the Woodlands. Billy Currington and David Nail open. Tickets range from $39 to $86 directly. You may likely find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 7pm.
  • James Blunt in Concert at the House of Blues – The English singer-songwriter brings his popular, stirring repertoire to H-Town. Tickets are still available via House of Blues, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the ticket resale market. 7pm.
  • Mo’Nique and Friends: Mother’s Day Comedy Show at Houston Arena Theatre – Oscar winner and comedienne Mo’Nique brings her sassy standup to H-Town for a special Mother’s Day show. $59.50. 7:30pm.
  • All Systems Glow 5k Glow Run at Minute Maid Park – Get your glow on once again with a black-lit race through Minute Maid Park and the streets of Downtown. $60. 8:30pm to 1am.
  • Back to the Future Movie Screening at Discovery Green | FREE – Travel back in time with Marty McFly in the classic 1985 comedy adventure featuring a flux capacitor, time-traveling DeLorean, Oedipal aversions and the Under the Sea dance. Great Scott! 8:45pm to 10:45pm.

  • Houston Latin American Philharmonic presents Mother’s Day Serenade at Wortham Theater Center – Dedicated to all Houston mothers, this program led by conductor Glenn Garrido features acclaimed musicians from Latin America. $25 to $45. 5pm.
  • Houston Dynamo vs. Real Salt Lake at BBVA Compass Stadium – Our favorite fútbol stars defend home field against the boys from Utah. Tickets are still available, but you may score cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 6pm.
  • Sunday Funday at Hughes Hangar – Enjoy all-you-can-eat crawfish, corn and potatoes with your Sunday evening drinks. No cover with RSVP. 6pm to 2am.
  • Game of Thrones Viewing at The Phoenix on Westheimer – Show up early to secure your seat at the former Firkin and Phoenix in Montrose to see what unspeakable depravity happens in Westeros this week. Showtime is at 8pm.
