- Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair | Daily – Sample cocktails, beer and wine, indulge in food pairings and take part in educational seminars during this five-day event located in historic Sugar Land. You won’t want to miss the On The Rocks Bartenders Challenge, The Grand Tasting or the Sip and Stroll at Imperial. Prices and locations vary.
- LMNOP at Hobby Center | Daily TUTS Underground presents a musical based based on award-winning author Mark Dunn’s novel Ella Minnow Pea that’s part romance, part clever word game and part adult fable. $49; discounted $39.50 tickets available for a limited time. Times vary.
- Legally Blonde The Musical at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Thursday to Saturday | FREE – Follow Elle Woods on her journey through law school during this musical based on the 2001 comedy. Adapted for stage, the musical features song-and-dance numbers with tons of laughs. 8pm nightly.
- Galveston FeatherFest & Nature PhotoFest | Thursday to Sunday – Head to Galveston for birding and photography field trips, workshops and other events. Prices and times vary.
- WorldFest Houston at the AMC Studio 30 Cinema | Starts Friday – This international independent film festival features 50 films and 250 short films over ten days. Screenings start at $15; passes start at $100. Times vary.
- Godspell at The Music Box Theater | Friday and Saturday – See this pop-rock reimagining of the Gospel of Matthew composed by Grammy and Oscar-winner Stephen Schwartz, best known for composing Wicked. $45; limited discounted $22.50 tickets available. 7:30pm.
- ComedySportz Houston in the Energy Corridor | Friday and Saturday – Catch an improv competition in the vein of Whose Line Is It Anyway? as comedians make up scenes, games and songs on the spot with audience participation. $18; comped and discounted $9 tickets available for a limited time. 8pm
- Pearland Crawfish Festival | Friday to Sunday – Enjoy blues, zydeco and country music, cajun cuisine and carnival rides during the Pearland Crawfish Festival. Crawfish from Swamp Shack Catering will be available for $4 a pound. $6 in advance; $8 at the door; $16 three-day pass in advance; $21 three-day pass at the door; free before 3pm on Friday. 11am to 10pm Friday and Saturday; 11am to 6pm Sunday.
- Bluebonnet Wine and Cheese Trail Northwest of Houston | Saturday and Sunday – Take in the beautiful scenes of Texas wildflowers, and sample wine and cheese from various wineries along Hwy 290 $30 includes a commemorative glass, wine and cheese pairings. 11am to 6pm both days.
- Activities inside the Loop from BigKidSmallCity | Daily – Find events, recommendations and family-friendly activities from our favorite Houston mom-in-the-know Jill Jarvis of BigKidSmallCity.

- Main Street Drag Along Four Routes – Art car caravans will set out along four different routes to bring the Art Car Parade to schools, hospitals and community centers around Houston. 9am to 1pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Cleveland Indians at Minute Maid Park – Watch the Houston Astros compete against the Cleveland Indiands during the opening week of their season at Minute Maid Park. Tickets start at $10, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the TicketNetwork or Ticket Monster resale sites. 1:10pm.
- Vaccinations at Children’s Museum of Houston | FREE – Get your child’s vaccinations for free from the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic when they park at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Stick around afterwards for free family night Thursday at the museum. Vaccinations available for children aged 6 months to 18 years; must have immunization records handy. 5pm to 7pm.
- Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park – Lay out a blanket in Market Square Park for a round of B-I-N-G-O or two in Market Square Park. $10 cash only for one bingo packet. 7pm to 9pm.
- Art Car Sneak Peek at Discovery Green | FREE – See Aaron Neville perform, get a sneak peek at the Art Cars and meet the artists during this event at Discovery Green. 6:30pm to 10pm.
- James Hannaham Booksigning at Brazos Bookstore – Have author James Hannaham sign a copy of his book Delicious Foods during an appearance at Brazos Bookstore. $26 for a hardcover copy of the book. 7pm.

- Chinese Favorites Made Simple Cooking Class at Central Market – Learn to make dishes like crab and cheese won tons, cashew chicken and Mu Hsu pork during this class taught by cookbook author Dorothy Huang. Huang’s cookbook Chinese Cuisine Made Simple will be available for purchase during the class. $65. 6:30pm.
- Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs at Toyota Center – Cheer loud for the Rockets as they play the Spurs in a divisional game at the Toyota Center. Tickets start at $49, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
- Houstonian Big Band at Artista – Enjoy a three-course dinner, dancing and music from the Houstonian Big Band during this event at Artista. $64. 7pm.
- PraCh In Concert at Asia Society Texas Center – Cambodian rapper praCh visits Asia Society Texas Center to perform and give a lecture on his songs about the Killing Fields and the genocidal past of Cambodia. This is a standing room only event. $15; $10 Asia Society members. 7:30pm.
- STYX Founder Dennis DeYoung in Concert at Arena Theatre – Original member of the 70s supergroup leads his own six-piece band and performs STYX classics like “Come Sail Away,” “Babe,” “Too Much Time on My Hands” and “Mr. Roboto.” $37.50; limited $13 to $19 tickets available. 8pm.
- MET Dance presents An Evening With Apollo Chamber Players at Wortham Theater Center – Two of Houston’s foremost arts institutions, Apollo Chamber Players and contemporary troupe MET Dance, join forces for show celebrating music and dance that combines light, sound and movement. $$15 to $20; discounted $7.50 to $10 tickets available for a limited time. 8pm.
- MS Society Fundraising Concert at Fitzgerald’s | FREE – Enjoy live performances from The Factory Party, Telephantom and Camera Cult during this fundraiser at Fitzgerald’s. While the concert is free, donations benefitting the National MS Society are strongly encouraged. 8pm.
- Pat Green in Concert at Stampede Houston – Hear “Songs About Texas” from San Antonio native Pat Green during a concert at Stampede Houston. Tickets start at $25. 9pm.
- The Temptations in Concert at Bayou Music Center – Sing along to hits like “My Girl” and “Just My Imagination” when The Temptations roll through town to perform at the Bayou Music Center. Tickets start at $48.25. 9:30pm.
