  • The Buzz Weekday Workout at Evelyn’s Park | FREE – Work up a sweat with The Buzz Magazine and Pledge To Fitness trainers at Evelyn’s Park Conservancy. The class consists of a 15-minute warm-up, 15 minutes of stretching, a 25-minute targeted workout, and a 5-minute cooldown. 8:30am.
  • Kingwood Farmers Market at Town Center Park | No Cover – Shop for fresh homegrown fruits, vegetables, jams, baked goods and more at the Farmers Market in Kingwood Town Center Park. 3pm.
  • Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park Pack up a blanket or some lawn chairs and head to Market Square Park for a relaxing evening of music and bingo. $10. 6pm.
  • Black Restaurant Week presents Nosh: Culinary Showcase Celebrate the flavors of African-American, African, and Caribbean cuisine as the Houston Black Restaurant Week presents the Nosh: Culinary Showcase at Buffalo Soldiers Museum. Tickets range from $40 to $350. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Foo Fighters in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion Rock out to hit songs like “Everlong”, “Best of You”, or “The Sky is a Neighborhood” when the Foo Fighters perform at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in support of their ninth studio album, Concrete and Gold. Tickets start at $45. 7pm.
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Movie Screening at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch | FREE – Play hookie from your weeknight errands and catch a free screening of the 80’s teen classic, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, at LaCenterra Cinco Ranch. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Turtle Racing: The 10th Season at Little Woodrow’s | No Cover – Root for your pick of several feisty turtles as they race across the finish line in the 10th season of turtle races at Little Woodrow’s. Toast your turtle’s victory (or defeat) with drink specials and beats from a DJ. 8pm.
  • Bowling For Soup in Concert at White Oak Music HallSing along to early 2000s throwbacks like “1985” and “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” when pop-rock group Bowling for Soup brings their tour to White Oak Music Hall. Dollyrots and Not Ur Girlfrenz will open the show. Tickets start at $20. 8pm.
  • Lee Ann Womack in Concert at The Heights TheaterSee country singer-songwriter Lee Ann Womack perform a selection of songs from her latest album, The Lonely, the Lonesome & the Gone, when she takes the stage at The Heights Theater. Tickets start at $28. 8pm.
  • Pretty in Pink Movie Screening at Bagby Park | FREE – Bring your brat pack to this free showing of Pretty in Pink, an ‘80s classic starring Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer, and Andrew McCarthy. 8pm to 10pm.

  • Axelrad’s Birthday Party | No Cover – Hang out in hammocks, listen to live music from local bands and DJs, and sip draft beer in celebration of Axelrad’s birthday. Friday night’s lineup features Bombón, Nico, Zoonido, and Charlee Brown. 6pm.
  • Prom Night: A Chic Affair benefitting Teach For America at Life HTX Party with Houston’s young professional leaders at a prom-themed party honoring Teach For America at Life HTX. This benefit will include a light dinner provided by Cordúa Catering, beats by DJ KidStylez and DJ Mr. Rogers, as well as spirits to keep the party going. General admission is $100. Tickets will be discounted to $65 for alumni and $80 for general admission from April 18 to April 19, 2018. 8pm.
  • Nina Diaz and Wild Moccasins at RockefellersCheck out Nina Diaz, a San Antonio native and former vocalist for Girl in a Coma, when she performs a show at Rockefellers. Local favorites Wild Moccasins will open the show. Tickets start at $12. 8pm.
  • Da Camera Jam at Discovery Green | FREE – Enjoy a free, outdoor concert from Venezuelan jazz vocalist Raquel Cepeda and pianist Jose-Miguel Yamal as part of Da Camera’s Jam series at Discovery Green. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
  • Broadway at the Box at The Music Box TheaterExperience a night of musical theater as performers The Great White Way return to The Music Box Theater. See Broadway classics from decades past, as well popular newcomers. Tickets are $29, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $14.50. 7:30pm.
  • Rihanna Night Light Vibe at 3rd Ward ToursJam out to Rihanna songs as you cruise through the streets of Houston on bikes illuminated with colorful LED lights. Tickets start at $10. 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • HAYA Band: The Migration | FREE – Listen to the calming sounds of traditional and contemporary Chinese music when award-winning HAYA Band performs Migration, a moving concert that incorporates chants, the Mongolian horsehead fiddle, plucked string instruments, throat singing, and shaman drums. This is a free ticketed event. 8pm.
  • Houston Symphony: The Best of John Williams at Jones Hall Allow your ears to travel to a land far, far away, as the Houston Symphony performs scores by John Williams in honor of Star Wars’ 40th anniversary at Jones Hall. Tickets start at $26. 8pm.
  • Chocolate and Art Show Houston at The Garage Indulge in body painting, face painting, live portraits, music, and free chocolate as up-and-coming artists, photographers, and creators around Houston come together for The Chocolate and Art Show at The Garage. Tickets start at $15. 8pm.
  • Jim Gaffigan at Smart Financial Centre Laugh your socks off when stand-up comedian and actor Jim Gaffigan brings “The Fixer Upper Tour” to the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land. Tickets start at $49.50. 8pm.
  • The Government Inspector at Chelsea Market Take a seat for Classical Theatre Company’s performance of The Government Inspector, which tells of a corrupt, small-town mayor who learns that an incognito inspector is heading to town for an anonymous inspection. $25; but limited discounted $15 tickets are available for select shows. 8pm.
  • Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle Movie Screening at City Acre Brewing Co. | No Cover – Satisfy your munchies with mini hamburgers, cheese fries, and brownies on a stick while watching a free screening of Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle at City Acre Brewing Co. 8pm to 10pm.
