Delight in the blooming graffiti cherry blossoms of Taming the Beast a couple of blocks from the Saint Arnold brewery.

Located in the heart of the 5th Ward on Opelousas Street just North West of Maury Street, Taming the Beast blends influences from indigenous cultures and spirituality in this energetic mural created during the 2016 HUE Mural Fest.

The creation of Luis Valle (@el_chan_guri on Instagram), the Miami-based artist is often commissioned for murals, as well as street art pieces on businesses and neighborhoods throughout South Florida.

Considered a staple of the Miami art scene, Valle is known for blending influences from psychology, shamanism, religion, and frequencies.

Budding photogs should note that this is a busy area at times. Use general good judgment when visiting and when considering what hours to visit.
