Catch the close of ROCO’s 13th season of “Unchambered“ performances at Magical Inspirations, led by concertmaster Scott St. John, in Midtown on Sunday, April 8 and Cypress Creek on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
ROCO’s 13th season of its “Unchambered” series wraps up with Magical Inspirations.
ROCO violinist and concertmaster, Scott St. John, is the featured artist for this program and will be joined by clarinetist, Nathan Williams, and composer/pianist, Kevin Lau.
In addition to Bartok’s jazz-inspired Contrasts and Korngold’s gorgeous Much Ado About Nothing Suite, Kevin Lau is creating a new Disney-inspired work based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Nightingale.
The work will be accompanied by original illustrations by artist, Amy Scheidegger and narration from Houston-based actor, Dave Harris.
The concert will be presented twice; first on Sunday evening at MATCH in Midtown, then again on Tuesday at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Cypress Creek.
