Give your kids a taste of live New Year’s Eve countdowns at family-centric Noon Year’s Eve evens around Houston, inside and outside of the Loop on New Year’s Day, Friday, December 31, 2021.
New Year’s Eve may be noted for staying up late to welcome the new year, but you can give the kids in your an age appropriate tease at events that count down to the hour, and feature balloons, entertainment, and more.

New Year’s 2022 Events for Kids & Families
- Rockin’ New Year’s Noon at Children’s Museum Houston – Bring the kiddos out to the Rockin’ New Year’s Noon, a family-friendly end-of-year bash that rings in the new year at the stroke of noon with a parade and shimmering ball drop at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Included with general admission; $12 for ages 1 and up, free for ages under 1. 10am to 12:30pm.
- Noon Year’s Eve Pajama Party at La Centerra in Katy | FREE – Kids in their PJs are welcome at this dance part at Heritage Square, complete with a kid-friendly DJ, a bubble show, balloon artist, and a noon balloon drop. 10:30am to noon.
- Noon Year’s Eve at CityCentre | FREE – Welcome in the new year at a family-friendly Noon Year’s Eve celebration where the kiddos can dance to DJ music, enjoy face painting, cap the noon hour off with bubbles, and more. 11am to 1pm.
- New Year’s Eve Bash at the Downtown Aquarium – Ring in the new year at the Downtown Aquarium and enjoy fun kids activities, including a kids balloon drop, dance party, games, a bubble wrap stomp and more. $30.99 for adults and $22.99 for ages 10 and under. Celebrations from 11am to 1:30pm; 3pm to 5:30pm.
