Best known for her time spent as a member of renowned R&B group The Fugees, Lauryn Hill has been helping to change the hip-hop landscape since the mid-1990’s.
Raised in New Jersey, Hill rose to fame with The Fugees who became known for their fusion of soul, hip-hop, and Caribbean elements.
Between her career with The Fugees and her solo work outside of the group Hill has accumulated seven Grammy Awards and became the first woman to receive 10 Grammy nominations in a single year.
