- Memorial Walk at Memorial Park | Saturday, May 25 | FREE – Honor those who sacrificed all with a memorial walk at Eastern Glades. A memorial banner will also offer an opportunity to sign the name of your lost loved one before heading down the Seymour Lieberman Trial. 7am to noon.
- A Night to Remember at Sugar Land Town Square | Sunday, May 26 | FREE – This annual Memorial Day event in Sugar Land honors servicemembers with a concert of patriotic songs, dances and performances, plus speeches by veterans. 7pm to 9pm.
- Memorial Day in the Woodlands at Town Center Park | Sunday, May 26 | FREE – Kick off summer with this annual patriotic celebration that honors the military service of those who sacrificed most for the United States. This evening celebration features a commemoration ceremony, live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainment and a fireworks show. 5pm to 9pm.
- Memorial Day Ceremony at Houston National Cemetery | Monday, May 27 | FREE – Join representatives and city dignitaries for a solemn event at the Houston National Cemetery, where those gathered will remember those who sacrificed most in the armed forces. 9am to 10am.
- Memorial Day Ceremony & Museum Admission at Galveston Naval Museum | Monday, May 27 | FREE – Among historic naval vessels, this annual ceremony includes a speech recognizing fallen servicemembers, along with live music, refreshments and free admission to the museum until 11am. 9am to 11am.
- Memorial Day Celebration at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum | Monday, May 27 | FREE – Guests to this annual celebration in Museum District can explore the African American military experience by taking part in interactive exhibits and learning about special resources for veterans and their families. 10am to 4pm.
- Memorial Day Ceremony at Sugar Land Memorial Park | Monday, May 27 | FREE – Pay tribute to fallen members of the armed forces at this ceremony in Fort Bend that includes a patriotic musical presentation from Lone Star Symphony, words of remembrance, a military flyover, and flag ceremony. 10:30am to 12:30pm.

All Weekend Long
- Comicpalooza at George R. Brown Convention Center | Friday to Sunday – Get decked out in your favorite hero costume and head Downtown for a weekend of cosplay, autographs, and all-things-pop culture. Enjoy family-friendly activities, listen in on live panel discussions, shop from local creators, browse pop culture memorabilia, and much more. Single day passes range from $43 to $64, depending on day; weekend passes start at $90. Times vary.
- Memorial Day Weekend at Lone Star Flight Museum | Saturday to Monday – On the weekend, you can take off to Lone Star Flight Museum for a day of toddler fun on Saturday, plus a special focus on Vietnam veterans, a paper airplane day on Sunday, and a Memorial Day with kids games, space craft, and more. $18; $15 for ages 12 to 17 and 65+; $12 for ages 5 to 11; free for ages 4 and under. Times vary.
- Memorial Day Weekend at Marriott Marquis Houston | Saturday to Monday – All weekend long, you can join the party at the iconic Texas-shaped lazy river atop the sixth floor of the Downtown Mariott Marquis. DJs will be on hand to provide the vibes and you can enjoy sips, sun and Memorial Day fun with scenic views. Day passes are available for non-guests at $90 and up. Noon to 9pm.

- Market Square Park Farmers Market in Downtown | FREE – Shop for produce, baked goods, artisan-made products and more in the heart of Downtown at this market that brings vendors from around the region to the Bayou City. Family- and pet-friendly, the market also offers live music performances by local artists on the Turnip the Beet stage. 10am to 2pm.
- Market in the Garden at B-52 Brewing | No Cover – This first-time market brings a slate of artisan vendors into the shade of the Conroe brewery’s towering trees. Browse handcrafted goods while you sip on suds direct from the tap. Noon to 5pm.
- Crawfest 2024 at Redemption Square | FREE – Spice up your weekend with a stop in Northeast Houston for an explosion of Cajun flavors with authentic Louisiana crawfish, jambalaya, and boudin. It’s a jam-packed day with vendors, bubble party fun and live music. 1pm to 6pm.
- Summer Strand Series: Vallejo in Concert at Saengerfest Park | FREE – Welcome summer at the Strand in Galveston with a live set of classic rock, funky rhythms and Latin beats from Vallejo. Soak up the island vibes with craft beer, wine and food truck delights available for purchase. 6:30pm to 9pm.
- Captain America Movie Screening at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – The Marvel smash hit from 2011 gets an outdoor screening in Sugar Land, in celebration of Memorial Day. 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

- ARMNHMR DJ Set at Clé Day & Night – The LA-based duo hits the pool side turntables for a Memorial Day pool party blowout in Midtown. Phon, Wes Walz and more help provide the vibes. Ages 21 and up. $15. 2pm to 8pm.
- Memorial Day Sunday at Bauhaus Houston – A 12-hour marathon will take the grooves deep into the night at this Memorial Day bash at the Downtown EDM club. Expect Massano, and a back-to-back with Technasia and Hector Couto to cap off a day of immense vibes. $30 and up. 4pm ’til late.
- Jazzy Sundays: Cécile McLorin Salvant in Concert at Discovery Green | FREE – Lose yourself in the passionate music of the award-winning jazz artist who bridges musical genres at another edition of Jazzy Sundays in Downtown. 5pm.
- Memorial Sunday Day Party at Z on 23 | No Cover – Party into the long weekend with stunning skyscraper views at this rooftop bar in Downtown. 5pm to 2am.
- Lit on Sunday: All White Party at Noto Houston – The East End nightclub hosts a Sunday night party with an all white dress code to ring in the final day of the long holiday weekend. RSVP for free admission until midnight. Cover may apply without RSVP. 10pm ’til late.

- Memorial Day 5K/10K at St. Thomas High School – Houston Running Co. hosts this annual run that features 5K, 10K and Kids K lengths, proceeding down Memorial Drive and back. $55 and up; $30 for Kids K. 7:30am.
- Supa Soca Memorial Day Pool & Day Party at Encore – Grab your best bathing suit and party people to join the summer’s Biggest Afro Carribean Pool Party in Midtown. Free admission till 4pm; $10 and up after. 2pm to 10pm.
- Latin House Pool Party at Space Cowboy – The pool bar at Heights House Hotel celebrates Memorial Day with a splash. Come by to groove to a full day of Latin house music from a team of DJs alongside food and drink specials, vendors, mermaids in the pool, and more. $15 and up. 2pm to 11:30pm.
