See the latest performing arts productions and theater happenings opening across Houston from Monday, June 23 to Sunday, June 29, 2025.
It’s just not summer in Houston without a Tamarie Cooper extravaganza from Catastrophic Theatre. This week, the wildly creative and always original writer and actor gives us yet another ding dang musical filled with the warmth and weirdness we’ve come to expect. Welcome to summer, Houston arts lovers!
There are great offerings this week for young people, including a show by the Ensemble Theatre at Miller Outdoor Theatre and a Main Street Theater for Youth production at the MATCH.
Speaking of the Ensemble, it’s likely their summer production will have something for all ages, with an engaging storyline and terrific tap dancing.
I’m excited that two dance companies are on stage this week, with brand new pieces that showcase a variety of dance styles. And Performing Arts Houston brings a global favorite to the Bayou City.
Go see performing arts, Houston!
