4th Wall Theatre Co: Topdog/Underdog at Studio 101 in Spring Street Studios | Thursday to Sunday | Ongoing – In a darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity, Lincoln and Booth—2 brothers named as an offhand joke—confront their rivalry and resentment while confronting the future reality. $22 and up. Comedian Sophie Buddle at Punch Line Houston | Friday & Saturday – Known for her comedy album A Lil Bit of Buddle, which won the Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year in 2020, the Canadian comic comes to Houston for 3 shows. Times vary.

Comedian Guy Torry at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – Known for appearing on Def Comedy Jam and for creating the hit Phat Tuesdays : The Era of Hip Hop Comedy docu-series, Torry plays 5 shows on the Spring Branch stage. $44 for 2 and up. Times vary.

Houston Ballet: In the Night at Wortham Center | Friday to Sunday | Final Weekend – This mixed rep program features 3 expressive ballets offering a fascinating fusion of classical and contemporary artistry. $25 and up. Showtimes vary.

Mardi Gras Party at Wakefield Crowbar | No Cover – This Garden Oaks Fat Tuesday bash boasts live Zydeco music, fresh crawfish, and drink specials that will make you feel like you’re in the French Quarter. 11am to 9pm.

Fat Tuesday X 2 Step Tuesdays Bash at Chapman & Kirby | No Cover  The EaDo hotspot celebrates the spirit of Mardi Gras with live music from DJ Stone, C&K Zydeco Band, and The Good Fellaz—plus plenty of dancing, giveaways, and Cajun cuisine. 3pm to 11pm.

Don’t Call Me Sweetie: 8th Annual Women’s Art Showcase at The Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE – One of Insomnia Gallery’s most popular art shows of the year, this weekend showcased the work of local women creators in tribute to International Women’s Day. 7pm to 11pm.

Noche Latina at Home Run Dugout | No Cover – Start the night off with free salsa lessons from Texas Salsa Congress, followed by live music from Shekere Latin Band. 7pm to midnight.

Comedian Marc Maron at White Oak Music Hall – The beloved comedian and podcaster brings his All In Tour to WOMH. $70 and up. 7pm.

Taleen Kali in Concert at Axelrad Beer Garden | FREE – A fixture of the LA underground, Kal and her band bring their fiery live sets and swirling sonics to the Midtown stage. Locals  Charm* and Ghost Party open. 8pm.

Panda Comedy Bash at Bad Astronaut Brewing – Houston comic Panda is joined by Carzell Da Writa, Andrew Dicker, Richard Moore, AJ Da Funny Man, and Henry Cruz for an evening of comedy. $20. 8pm.

Powell Brothers in Concert at Goode Company Armadillo Palace | FREE – The country duo from Kingwood play a free show in the hall. Eros Garcia Band opens. 8pm.

Notorious B.I.G. Tribute at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse on Washington | No Cover – Celebrate the music of one of hip hop’s greatest, with a DJ Somms and Fam be spinning a special DJ set, playing plenty of Biggie tracks and Biggie-adjacent artists like Junior Mafia, Lil Kim, Lil Cease, Lox, and more, along with themed cocktails, Biggie photo booth, and more. 8pm to midnight.

Laidback Luke DJ Set at Bauhaus – The Filipino-born Dutch DJ known for electronic dance and Ukrainian electro music spins well into the night at the Downtown nightclub. $9.95 and up. 9pm to 4am.

Tomar & the FCs in Concert at Dan Electro’s – With performances at ACL Music Festival, Old Settlers Music Festival, River Revival, SXSW, and Bonnaroo under their belts Tomar and the FCs bring the tunes to the Heights. Astro Inn and DJ Pachuco Sound System join. $18; $23 day of. 9:30pm.

Bayou Blues Festival at Houston Botanic Garden – Mark bluebonnet season and International Women’s Day with a full day of soulful roots music, including tunes by Chambers DesLauriers Band, Carolyn Wonderland and Shelley King, The Soul Supporters, and more. $20; $16 ages 3 to 15, 65+, students and active military. 11am to 5pm.

Michael Prince & Hood Orchestra Benefit Concert at S.H.A.P.E. Community Center Almeda | Sunday | Ongoing – Violinist and Hood Orchestra founder Michael Prince heads up a lineup of special guests in a 2-hour concert to raise funds to help repair S.H.A.P.E. Community Center Live Oak after its recent fire. All proceeds go directly to the Third Ward community center’s repairs. Pay what you wish. 2pm.

Record Swap at Axelrad Beer Garden | No Cover – Bring your gently used music to barter and trade, or get ready to buy as record sellers from around the Houston area will be setting up and selling their collections of vinyl, CDs, and tapes. 2pm to 6pm.

Houston Crawfish Kickoff Festival at Guadalupe Plaza Park – Enjoy crawfish, live music, dancing, games, and more in the East End. Postponed from original date last month. $10; free for ages 8 and under. 2pm to 8pm.

Jazzy Sundays in the Park: J. Paul, Jr & The Zydeco Nubreedz at Emancipation Park | FREE – The weekly jazz series continues with a pair of Houston groups known for their zydeco rhythms and fusion. 5pm to 7pm.

Comedian Matt Rife at Toyota Center – The YouTube comic who achieved mass popularity through social channels, streaming comedy specials, and more brings his Stay Golden tour to Downtown. $39 and up. 7pm. 

Comedian Emily Catalano at Punch Line Houston – The San Francisco comic known for her  sharp writing and deadpan delivery takes to the Punch Line stage for one night only. $32 and up. 7pm. 

Magic City Hippies in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The sunshine funk bank out of Miami close out the weekend when their Enemies Tour arrives downstairs at the Near Northside venue. Mustard Service opens. $25. 7pm.

Michigan Rattlers in Concert at House of Blues Bronze Peacock Room – The alt-indie 4-piece folk rock band, originally out of Petoskey, Michigan,  takes the stage atop House of Blues. $20. 7pm.
