Pride Month has arrived in Houston and that means several weeks full of nightlife events, fabulous drag performances, DJ nights, drink specials, brunches and much more all month long.
This year features two major pride parades and festivals in Downtown, with a new celebration from Houston’s New Faces of Pride, taking place on Saturday, June 22.
The 46th annual Pride Parade, organized by Pride Houston 365, will round out Pride Month on Saturday, June 29.
We’ve gathered some of the biggest events taking place in Houston during Pride Month, June 2024.

- Monday Movie Night at Axelrad | Every Monday | No Cover – The weekly outdoor screening night at the neon garden hosts a series of LGBTQ+ films to celebrate Pride Month. Movies include Call Me By Your Name (June 3), Hedwig & the Angry Inch (June 10), But I’m a Cheerleader (June 17), and Blue Is the Warmest Color (June 24; starting at 8:30pm). All other movies at 9pm.
- Martini Theater at DTO: Pride Edition at Daiquiri Time Out | Every Thursday | No Cover – Mark Pride month with a weekly series of movie screenings including Paris is Burning, X-Men, Bottoms, and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, while enjoying drinks and food from Con Lágrimas. 8:30pm to 11:30pm.
- Famous Drag Brunch at Bar Boheme | Every Sunday – Head to the patio of Bar Boheme on Fairview for one of the best drag brunches in town. Enjoy delicious eats, a live DJ and fabulous drag performances every Sunday in June. Reservations required; $39 per person, includes access to brunch buffet and show. Brunch runs from 11am to 4:30pm, with two-hour shows at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
- Pride Month Cocktail at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse | All Month Long – Both locations (Washington Ave. and Montrose) of the pizza and cocktail dive will be serving up the Yass Queen! cocktail (vodka, fresh strawberries, lemon, simple syrup, edible glitter, and sparkling wine) all month long, offered for $11 per drink, or in a large format that serves 4 to 6 people for $45. For each one sold at the Washington location, $1 will be donated to Grace Place, while the Montrose spot will offer $1 to the Montrose Center. Open daily until 2am.
- Pride Cocktail at Axelrad | All Month Long – This year’s pride cocktail, “Category Is: Prickly for Pride,” offers a refreshing taste of Frozen Prickly Pear margarita with tequila, cointreau, prickly pear syrup and lime juice for $12. Axelrad will also donate 10% of the proceeds to Pride Houston 365 at the end of the month. Open daily.

- Monarch Chamber Players presents Pride Playlist at Avenida Houston | Friday, June 7 | FREE – In Downtown, the chamber group performs a program of works by LGBT composers in celebration of Pride Month, including pieces by Bernstein, Boulanger, Tchaikovsky and more. 5pm to 7pm.
- Pride Summerween at Star Sailor | Saturday, June 8 | FREE – One of many Pride Month events taking place at the Heights bar, this one combines the love of summer and Halloween for a costume-fueled bash. Pets are welcome to dress up, too. Noon to 11:30pm.
- Pride 5K Fun Run at Frost Town Brewing | Sunday, June 9 – Lace up and show support for Houston’s LGBTQ+ community with a morning fun run that kicks off in Downtown. Donations requested, but not necessary to participate. 9am to noon.
- Pride Galveston Drag Brunch at Scotty’s Pub on the Bay | Sunday, June 9 | No Cover – Pride Galveston heads to League City for a fabulous drag brunch celebration with food and drink, while helping raise funds for the organization. Noon.
Week of Monday, June 10
- Sugar Land Space Cowboys vs. Oklahoma City at Constellation Field | Wednesday, June 12 – The annual Pride Night returns to Sugar Land with dollar dogs, specials on Eureka Heights Lavender Bunny, a pregame dog parade, and a $10 ticket add-on for drag bingo with Dessie, Miss Gay USA 2024, as the game gets underway. $11 and up. 7pm.
- Houston SaberCats vs. Seattle Seawolves at SaberCats Stadium | Saturday, June 15 – In the second-to-last home game of the year, the Cats host a colorful celebration of diversity and acceptance while trying to top the league in the rugby squad’s best season in franchise history. $15 and up. 6pm.
- Houston Pride Band: Winds of Summer, Rhythms of the Sea at MATCH | Saturday, June 15 – This one-night concert from Houston Pride Band is a musical celebration of leisure, power and tranquility, featuring a world premiere performance of Storm Surge by composer JaRod Hall. $15; $5 for ages 12 and under. 8pm.
- Houston Dash vs. Angel City FC at Shell Energy Stadium | Saturday, June 15 – Early fans to the annual Pride Night at the Dash game will receive a Pride-themed crossbody bag, and everyone can enjoy photo ops around the stadium along with special Pride matchday elements when the squad takes on Angel City FC. $15 and up. 8:30pm.
- A Sexy Pride Show at Social Beer Garden | Saturday, June 15 | FREE – A slate of fierce drag queens take over the Midtown beer garden with a night of fabulous performances, glamour, laughter and a celebration of love and diversity. Ages 21 and up. 10:30pm.
Week of Monday, June 17
- RuPaul’s Drag Race Trivia Night at City Orchard | Wednesday, June 19 | FREE – The cidery in Arts District hosts a special night of trivia covering all things RuPaul’s Drag Race. Come by to vie for fabulous prizes, like a pair of tickets to the Astros’ Pride Night on the 25th. 7pm.
- 4th Annual And Through Their Eyes Grow Thorns Exhibition at MATCH | Wednesday, June 19 to Sunday, June 23 | FREE – Curated by Kevin Dapree Anderson and presented by the T.R.U.T.H. Project, this annual week-long exhibition at MATCH explores storytelling through a queer lens of color, as captured through paintings, sculpture, wood work and more. Special events throughout the week help round out the exhibition, including a free yoga and sound healing session (Thursday, June 20), and a night of spoken word poetry ($20) as part of the heART & Soul series (Friday, June 21). Times vary.
- Pride by the Pint Brewfest at Millenium High Street | Friday, June 21 – Held near Highland Village, this Pride Weekend event features multiple Houston breweries, food trucks and local vendors coming together in the spirit of community, helping to raise funds for the Montrose Center. $5 and up. 6pm to 8pm.
- Houston’s New Faces of Pride Festival & Parade at Houston City Hall | Saturday, June 22 | FREE – A new addition to the Pride festivities this year, this all-day festival features hundreds of vendors, performances by Billy Gilman, Lauren Sanderson and Chris Housman, plus an evening parade through the streets of Downtown. Parade viewing is free; festival is $3. Festival is noon to 6pm; Parade begins at 7:30pm.
- Soaked: The Official Houston Pride Pool Party at Heights House Hotel | Saturday, June 22 – Make a splash at Space Cowboy, the pool and bar at the Heights House Hotel. Pride Houston 365 will host this pool party with live entertainment, DJs, games, food and drink specials, and more. $15 and up. 2pm to 10pm.
- Emo Pride Party at Dan Electro’s | Saturday, June 22 – Let it all out at a raging Pride bash with live emo tunes from Shosty and Screaming Insecurities, plus drinks, vendors and a photo booth at the Heights guitar bar. 6pm.
- Planet Pink! Houston’s New Faces of Pride Official After Party at Post Houston | Saturday, June 22 – Keep the party rolling after the New Faces of Pride parade with this afterparty at Post, featuring international DJ GSP and Houston’s own Marti Frieson. $20 and up. 9pm.
- 6th Annual Pride Brunch & Montrose Center Fundraiser at the Heights Social | Sunday, June 23 – Wrap up Pride weekend at this fundraiser brunch hosted by this chic spot in the Heights. Enjoy brunch from Chef Cameron Caine, vibes by DJ Chad Guidry, and drag performances from Sinema LaRue and Lucy Paradisco. Ages 21 and up. $60 and up. 11am to 4pm.
Week of Monday, June 24
- Dine With Pride at Via313 Pizzeria | Tuesday, June 25 | FREE – Closing out Pride month, this weeknight dinner serves up Detroit-style pizza and offers a chance to meet the Pride Houston 365 team and score swag and discounted event tickets. Menu prices vary. 5pm to 8pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Colorado Rockies at Minute Maid Park | Tuesday, June 25 – The first 10,000 fans through the gates at this weeknight game will take home a Pride bucket hat, and for a $30 ticket add-on, fans can score a rainbow-colored Astros jersey that commemorates 2024 Pride Night. $24 and up. 7pm.
- Rock the Runway Fashion Show at Warehouse Live Midtown | Wednesday, June 26 – Pride Houston 365 returns to the runway with a celebration of haute styles, the latest fashions in ladies evening wear, and plenty of avant-garde statements from LGBTQIA+ designers. $10 in advance; VIP options available. 7pm.
Pride Weekend 2024: Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30
- DNVRMX presents Everything’s Bigger Pride at Multiple Venues | Thursday, June 27 to Sunday, June 30 – Get Pride Weekend rolling with a four-night slate of events taking place at venues around Houston, delivering DJ jams from the decks, themed attire nights, drinks and more. Tickets vary by event; $25 and up. Times vary.
- Rainbow on the Green at Discovery Green | Friday, June 28 | FREE – The annual family-friendly Pride night event at Discovery Green returns, with live performances by Z’maji Glamouratti & the Lone Star Discoteq, DJ Hiram, drag queens and more in a night of dancing and revelry. 7pm to 10pm.
- Eden Girl+ Party at Warehouse Live Midtown | Friday, June 28 – In Midtown, Pride Houston 365 brings its popular girl+ party back, dedicated to the strong womxn of the city’s LGBT+ community. Male presenting and non-binary friends are also welcome. $10 and up. Ages 18 and up. 9pm.
- The Pride Run 5K & 10K at Hennessy Park in Downtown | Saturday, June 29 – This special Pride Weekend run starts at Hennessy Park right next to Saint Arnold’s, headed west along the bayou and back. Early arrivals can also take part in a synchronized rainbow throw to get decked out in colorful pigments before you get rolling. $25 and up. 7:30am.
- 46th Houston Pride Celebration Festival & Parade at Houston City Hall | Saturday, June 29 | FREE – The 46th annual pride celebration takes to the streets of Downtown Houston near City Hall for a parade gathering that typically draws hundreds of thousands each year. Arrive earlier to celebrate at the all-day festival, featuring live performances by K. Michelle, David Archuleta, Kayla G and Brooke Eden. Parade viewing is free; festival is $5 in advance for ages 21 to 54. 11am to 10pm; Parade begins at 7:30pm.
- Houston Dynamo FC vs. Charlotte FC at Shell Energy Stadium | Saturday, June 29 – Closing out Pride Month, the Dynamo square off with Charlotte and fans can take advantage of special ticket options that include a Pride-themed t-shirt, plus other matchday elements that honor Houston’s diverse community. $28 and up. 7:30pm.
- Kinky Circus & Artist Market Pride Party at Numbers Nightclub | Saturday, June 29 – Celebrate the close of Pride Month at one of Houston’s most iconic venues when Kinky Circus and Artist Market sets up for a special Pride edition with live performers, circus acts, local artists and vendors, and more. $30 in advance; $40 at the door. 8pm to 2am.
- Glitterball: Official Houston Pride Afterparty at Warehouse Live Midtown | Saturday, June 29 – The official afterparty to the Houston Pride Parade brings revelers to Midtown for a rooftop bash with DJs Kitty Glitter and Drew G. $20 and up. 9pm to 3am.
