Delight your palate and your passport by dining at one or all of this summer’s Houston Chef Series dinners, kicking off at Brenner’s Steakhouse on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
For 2016, Landry’s Signature Group of restaurants is hosting a summer series of nine Wednesday evening dinners perfectly suited to the Global Culinary Adventure theme.
Each dinner will be hosted by a different executive chef and feature delicious, internationally-inspired dishes and fine wines and cocktails from around the world.
Dinners will begin at 7pm and will be held most Wednesday evenings through Wednesday, July 27, and will culminate with a Grand Finale Dinner on the evening of Saturday, August 13. The Grand Finale Dinner will take place at Vic & Anthony’s, with all of Landry’s Signature Group executive chefs on hand.
Debut Dinner: Chef Jason Cole at Brenner’s Steakhouse
The summer series kicks of at Brenner’s Steakhouse in West Houston on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Elegant and cozy, the award-laden restaurant will be the setting for a delicious five course meal created by executive chef Jason Cole.
The meal begins with barbecue pacu fish ribs paired with an orange caipirinha made with 12-year Zaya rum. The second course features lobster scampi paired with Claudio Morelli Bianchello del Metauro wine. Next, the menu jets Down Under with an organic Australian lamb tartare paired with a 2006 South Australian Shiraz-Grenache. The Japanes Togarashi-tubbed Wagyu filet follows, paired with Otokoyama Tokubetsu Junmai “Man’s Mountain” warm Sake. Finally, the meal concludes with a “Twisted Banana Split” that features fried cookie dough, caramelized banana, candied bacon, vanilla bean ice cream, boozy cherries, and Texas pecans. The dessert will be paired with a French rosé.
