Grab a seat for an intense back-to-back rivalry when the Houston Astros host the Los Angeles Dodgers at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, May 25 and Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
To say there’s no love lost between the ‘Stros and the Dodgers is an understatement. Over the last five years, the two teams have developed an intense rivalry from the Astros’ Game 7 World Series clincher in 2017 to last summer’s bench-clearing brawl in an empty stadium.
This series, it’ll be different. For the first time since the pandemic began, Minute Maid Park will be operating at maximum capacity, the team announced earlier this week. That will bring as many as 40,000 screaming fans back to the bleachers, ready to root on the Astros in a 2-game series that’s brimming with bad blood.
In addition to the capacity changes, Minute Maid Park is also scrapping mask requirements for attendees. Fans who are unvaccinated are encouraged to continue masking up, and masks will be available at ballpark entrances.
