Houston-based Zoom Shakespeare Productions, with Apprentice Productions Theater Company presents a new adaptation of Edmond Ronstadt’s romantic play Cyrano De Bergerac at Jones Hall on the University of St. Thomas campus.

The classic play tells the story of Cyrano, the renowned swordsman, musician, gifted poet, and playwright with one small problem: his large nose. He also harbors an unspoken love for his childhood friend, Roxane. When Roxane meets Christian, an attractive but not poetically gifted cadet in Cyrano’s regiment, Cyrano and Christian hatch a plan to combine forces and woo Roxane together, with one’s words and the other’s beauty.
