Power Restoration Efforts

  • CenterPoint Restoration Map – CenterPoint has released a more detailed power outage map, showing what phase of restoration various areas are undergoing, and when you might expect power to return.
  • When do regions of Greater Houston receive power? | Community Impact | Jessica Shorten – In addition to the new map, CenterPoint has also indicated which Greater Houston areas will reserve servicing, including areas in Beaumont, Port Arthur, Dayton, Huntsville, Conroe, and several more.
  • Houstonians make use of Whataburger app for power updates | Houston Landing | Miranda Dunlap – Before the interactive map was released, Houston residents found they could receive broad ideas of power restoration based on a Whataburger location map that showed out-of-service restaurants.
  • Did CenterPoint prepare enough? | Houston Landing | Clare Amari, Elena Bruess, Miranda Dunlap – In the wake of Beryl’s destruction, politicians and residents turn to CenterPoint’s preparations for a Category 1 storm in Houston.
