Welcome spring at La Porte’s Airing of the Quilts & Sunset Sip & Stroll

Sip on wine as you browse items from local eateries and artisans, quilt displays and more during the Sunset Sip & Stroll Farmers Market in La Porte on Saturday, March 21, 2015.

Airing of the Quilts – the first event of its kind in La Porte – will be held in conjunction with the city’s monthly Sunset Sip & Stroll farmers market, making it an all-day event that quilters and market-goers won’t want to miss.

Beginning at 9am, La Porte’s historic Main Street will be blanketed with quilt displays and antique and artisan vendors. Guests can shop for quilting items, browse eclectic boutiques, take part in a square exchange or play blanket bingo.

March Sunset Sip & Stroll

At 4pm, stroll on over to the Five Points Plaza for the monthly farmers market – held on the third Saturday of the month.

All ages are welcome at this free event and attendees 21 and over can enjoy a glass of wine as they peruse the local farmers’ monthly harvests, watch local artists do live tandem paintings, browse artisan creations, paint and decorate wine bottles.

In addition to the food vendors at the Sunset Sip & Stroll, folks can also enjoy a full meal at one of La Porte’s local nearby eateries.
