Keep your family fresh and cool with these great splashpads across Houston.

As the temperature heats up, find one of the many Houston splashpads to cool off!

The city of Houston has 20 splashpads at local parks, such as Ervan Chew Park near Montrose and the Museum District,  and all are free to use!  Most operate all year and kids just need to “push the button” to start the water! Click here to view a full list of City of Houston splash pads.

Splashpads are great because they soak the kids but are easier to supervise than a pool.  The littlest of toddlers can run around and enjoy the water.

In addition to the splashpads maintained by the city, there are a few more to consider for summertime fun.

  • Discovery Green – Discovery Green has both a mist tree and a splashpad. Both are free, clean and well maintained.
  • Downtown Aquarium – The Downtown Aquarium also has a splashpad that does not require a ticket.  You can visit this after a day of exploring the bayou trails, without going inside the aquarium or buying ride tickets.
  • Houston Zoo – Finally, the Houston Zoo has a splashpad that is free with zoo admission. Next time you visit, be sure to bring your swimsuits to cool off halfway through your hot zoo adventure!
With so many Houston splashpads, most of which are free, you can find a new one each week this summer!
