Grab your clubs and head over to Memorial Park Golf Course any night of the week and practice your swing as the sun goes down and the stadium lights go up.
Although the driving range at Memorial Park Golf Course is a welcome sight by day, it takes on a most satisfying charm at night. The big Houston skies allow for some striking sunsets in the distance, while stadium lighting keeps the green bright and well-lit. With your clubs in hand, you can get started for just $4 for a basket of 25 balls, or opt for 90 of the round little buggers for just $8.
While the driving range seems far removed from the stresses of the city, its proximity to Memorial Park’s running trail means you’re still able to tap into a lot of activity and social energy. The people watching on the way from and to your car isn’t bad either.
This practice range at the nationally recognized municpal golf course stays open until 9pm every night, including Tuesdays (starting at 3pm), when the course itself is closed. The pro shop shutters at 9pm, but as long as you rent your balls before they close the shop for the night, you’re welcome to stay on the green and play out your stash.
