Catch a free screening of Bill Murray in Stripes under the stars

Set up on the lawn for a free screening of Stripes, starring Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, in Historic Market Square on Wednesday evening, April 6, 2016.

Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow presents the 1981 military comedy Stripes (R), featuring Bill Murray as a cab driver turned Army recruit. After losing his job, apartment and car, and being dumped by his girlfriend in a single day, John Winger (Murray) decides to enlist in the Army with his pal Russell Ziskey (Ramis).

Directed by Ivan Reitman, The film also features 1980s favorites Sean Young, John Candy, John Larroquette, Judge Reinhold and more.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, along with any food and non-alcoholic drinks, and settle in for a movie night under the stars in Market Square Park.

Food & Drink

Although outside alcohol isn’t permitted, beer and wine are available for purchase inside Market Square Park at Niko Niko’s, along with the usual array of delicious Greek and good ol’ American fare.

The Historic Market Square neighborhood surrounding Market Square Park is also home to restaurants like El Big Bad, Batanga, Barnaby’s and others that provide take-out food service.
