• Comedian Andrea Jin at Houston Improv | Thursday, October 5 – The stand-up comedian and writer, who gained recognition in the comedy scene after winning Comedy Album of the Year in 2021 at the Juno Awards, Andrea Jin takes the stage at the Spring Branch laugh house. $40 for 2, and up. 7:30pm.
• Ashley Gavin at Houston Improv | Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8 – Host of the hit podcast, We’re Having Gay Sex, Ashley Gavin takes to the Spring Branch comedy club for a weekend of her latest material. $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
• Jimmy Carr at Cullen Performance Hall | Saturday, October 7 – The deadpan British Irish comedian is well known on both sides of the pond, having hosted Roast Battle and narrating episodes of Comedy Central’s Drunk History. He’ll head to the UH theater for a night of new material, following up his late 2021 Netflix special, His Dark Material. $35 and up. 7pm.
• Morgan Jay at Houston Improv | Wednesday, October 11 – For one night, the Spring Branch comedy club hosts musician and comedian Morgan Jay who brings his guitar on stage for a set of laugh-out-loud songwriting. $80 for 4, and up. 7:30pm.
• John Waters: End of the World at Wortham Center | Friday, October 13 – The legendary director and comedian brings an all-new, fast-moving, comic monologue to Downtown, about today’s despair and diseases, desires and desperations—all while carrying an insane optimism welcoming audiences into a new dawn of depravity. $29 and up. 7:30pm.
• Craig Ferguson at Houston Improv | Friday, October 13 to Sunday, October 15 – Best known for his role on The Drew Carey Show and as host of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, the Scottish comedian spends a weekend in Spring Branch, delivering his observations on the world around him. $60 for 2, and up. • Zoltan Kaszas at Houston Improv | Tuesday, October 17 – Winner of the Seattle International Comedy Competition and other comic showdowns, the Hungarian-born Zoltan Kaszas takes over the Improv for a night of laughs. $50 for 2, and up. 7:30pm.
• The Eric Andre Explosion at Bayou Music Center | Wednesday, October 18 – The comedian, actor and host of his self-titled late-night show on Adult Swim, the surreal and never predictable Eric Andre brings his nationwide tour through Downtown Houston. $54 and up. 7pm.
• Irene Tu at Houston Improv | Wednesday, October 18 – After debuting at No. 1 on the comedy charts with her 2022 album, We’re Done Now, the acclaimed comic Irene Tu brings her perspective to the Improv stage for a midweek set. $40 for 2, and up. 7:30pm.
• Eric D’Alessandro at Houston Improv | Thursday, October 19 – The viral video comedian is known for his celebrity impressions and parody covers, launching himself to a worldwide audience with “Mask Off Remix (Walmart Diss).” Now, you can catch him for one night–only at the Improv. $40 for 2, and up. 7:30pm.
• Nicole Byer at House of Blues | Friday, October 20 – Welcome the raunchy and hilarious actress and comedian, Nicole Byer, known for hosting duties on Netflix’s baking show Nailed It, co-hosting alongside John Cena on ABC’s Wipeout, and her hit podcast, Why Won’t You Date Me. $30 and up. 7pm.
