The elegant West Houston venue transforms into a whimsical wintertime ball that honors the iconic Triwizard tradition, complete with a festive dance floor, spellbinding performances and interactive hosts and representatives from the four houses of Hogwarts—all of whom will help you uncover enchanting photo ops and magical memories throughout your time at this Yule Ball Celebration.
Even those who don’t care to cut a rug on the dance floor, will find their experience packed with opportunities to explore, engage, and immerse themselves throughout the fantastical event and its settings.
This officially-licensed, Harry Potter–inspired celebration takes place daily through early December, so whenever you decide to make your grand entrance, numerous forms of well-mannered frivolity await.
A Tribute to the Triwizard Tournament
This one-of-a-kind event is inspired by the Yule Ball, a formal Christmas celebration held during the Triwizard Tournament in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In the book and film of the same name, competing champions that represent various wizarding schools come together for a wintertime fête, where students and teachers dress up in their elegant best to let their hair down.
Paraiso Maravilla, Houston’s distinguished site of the celebration, has been transformed into a venue evocative of the Great Hall with shimmering silver draping, twinkling Christmas trees and festive holiday decor, as well as tailor-made scenic pieces that offer magical photo opportunities.
Your experience at the celebration is guided along by friendly hosts that take to the spacious dance floor for captivating performances, plus representatives of the four houses of Hogwarts—Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and, last but certainly not least, Hufflepuff—will be around to mingle and interact with as the celebration continues.

While dressing up for the occasion is encouraged (but not mandatory), those that are looking to better reflect the house they’ve been sorted into will have the opportunity to shop wands, robes and other officially-licensed Harry Potter attire at the Yule Ball Market.
Once you’ve got the right look, then make your way to the dance floor where you can gather with fellow revelers and performers and show off your finest entrancing moves.
But the Yule Ball is about more than just dancing, so you can also uncover enchantment in details throughout the venue, as well as sip on inspired drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and enjoy themed food offerings, available for an additional cost.

Two options are available for this Wizarding World experience, and the ball is open to ages 12 and up (guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). Children from the ages of 6 and older are welcome to join the family sessions on Saturdays (9:30am and 12:30pm) and Sundays (10:30am and 1:30pm).
Standard tickets grant you two hours of festivities and access to all the Yule Ball highlights, from dancing and drinks to photo ops and market shopping. These tickets start at $59, or $49 for ages 12 to 17.
If you’re looking to maximize your Yule Ball experience, then premium packages are your best opportunity to do so. These ticket holders are granted early access to the celebration, plus a complimentary drink and a special Harry Potter gift. These tickets start at $100, or $90 for ages 12 to 17.
