The record-setting extreme adventurer attempted to summit K2 twice, aborting the first attempt after an avalanche killed two fellow climbers – Denali and Marty Schmidt. Hayes returned the following year and successfully reached the peak of the second highest mountain in the world.

About Adrian Hayes
Adrian Hayes is a world-renowned polar explorer, author and speaker from the UK who has summited Mt. Everest and K2. He set numerous Guinness World records including the reaching Earth’s 3 Poles in the shortest period of time and going on the longest unsupported kite-skiing journey in Arctic history. He is an internationally acclaimed keynote speaker and provides team and executive coaching and leadership development.
About The Denali Foundation
The Denali Foundation preserves the artwork of Denali Schmidt and provides art supplies to underserved communities. The organization honors the deep passion that Schmidt had for art and adventure and was formed after Denali and his father Marty were killed on K2 during the summer of 2013.
