PMT’s version of the off-Broadway show Tick, Tick…BOOM! tells an exciting coming-of-age story told through a combination of concert-style music and dialogue. The main character, Jon, an aspiring playwright, is struggling with the symbolism of his upcoming 30th birthday.
As he prepares to début his first big play, Jon realizes that this is his “make or break moment.” The pressure he feels is manifested by talented musicians who bring the ticking in his head to life. If Jon’s play is a success, then he has accomplished his life’s goal by the time he’s 30, and if not then he’s yet another aspiring playwright with a failing career.
The cast skillfully blends together rock music and acting into a captivating story.
