Set in the early 1900s in the small Jewish village of Anatevka in Imperial Russia, Fiddler on the Roof follows the life of Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman, as he tries to maintain his religious and cultural traditions while dealing with the challenges of poverty, anti-Semitism, and the changing times.
