Catch the jaw-dropping, show-stopping dance production Dark Matter: Evidence of Things Unseen presented by NobleMotion at the Barn on select days from Friday, August 29 to Saturday, September 6, 2014.

NobleMotion Dance is reinvigorating Houston’s Space City moniker with a physically daring and visually stunning performance based on the concept of deep spas.

The Barn in East Downtown will be effectively transformed into a planetarium where NobleMotion’s dancers will test and sometimes surpass the laws of gravity.

Experience a daring and visually stunning dance production from NobleMotion that explores deep space. The Barn performance venue will be tranformed into a planetarium and dancers will demonstrate an intense test of gravity.

The show is actually inspired by the conflict and concurrence of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, Darwinism and passages from the Bible. It’s broken into two parts; Space and Time. During Space, dancers jump, spin and flop on train platforms, conveying the sense of journey. During time, the planetarium settles in and the audience is immerses in projected stars, while real-time video footage of the performers are morphed and projected around them to create an otherworldly performance.

Choreographer Andy Noble said, “Dark Matter is mysterious and thought-provoking and our audiences will be enthralled by the dancing and special effects.”
