Grab your costume and strut your spooky stuff at events happening around Houston on Halloween Day, October 31, 2024.

There’s nothing like donning your costume and celebrating Halloween on the actual 31st of October.

So regardless of age, we’ve got something for everyone at more than 25 events happening from 9am to 2am.

Halloween Day 2024 Trick or Treats, Parties & Events in Greater Houston

Zoo Boo at Houston Zoo – Bring the little ghouls and goblins to the Houston Zoo for some age-appropriate Halloween fun. Visit the Giant Pumpkin, ride a spooktacular Scary-Go-Round, find photo ops throughout the Zoo, walk the Lantern Tunnel between the lion and tiger exhibits, and more. Costumes are strongly encouraged. Included with general admission; ticket prices vary based on day of the week. 9am to 5pm.

Halloween at Downtown Aquarium – Bring the kiddos in costume and get a ½ price exhibit ticket with adult exhibit purchase at the Downtown Aquarium. Adult passes are $24.99; $22.99 for kids under 42″. 9am to 6pm.

Meow Wolf Houston: Radio Tave Opening Weekend in Fifth Ward – The highly anticipated interactive, immersive art experience opens its Houston location near Saint Arnold Brewing Company. The space tells many interweaving stories of interdimensional exploration and the intersection of the supernatural and mundane at fictional radio station ETNL. $40 and up. Noon to 8pm.

Halloween at 8th Wonder | No Cover – Arrive in costume to take advantage of 25% off all to-go purchases of all taproom offerings, including beer, THC seltzers, gummies, tinctures, t-shirts, and hats. Stick around to enjoy the classic Houston environment and spooky spirit. Noon to 10pm.

Midtown Houston Halloween Bar Crawl at The Dogwood  Check in the at The Dogwood, then head out to multiple Midtown locations for themed cocktails, live bands and DJs, food and drink specials, and a $2000 costume contest. $19.99. 4pm to 11pm.

Drink Specials at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse on Washington Avenue & Montrose Boulevard – The Halloween-embracing bar and restaurant serves up spooky specialty cocktails the Frozen Gravedigger featuring Amares Verde Mezcal and Amaro Montenegro, This is Halloween with Maker’s Mark, and Purple People Eater with Clarified Still Austin Bourbon. 4pm to midnight at both locations.

Trick or Treat at the 1838 Menard House | FREE Galveston Historical Foundation opens the gates of the island’s oldest residence, the 1838 Menard House, to welcome trick-or-treaters for free, history-making fun. Individual bags of candy will be given to young guests. 5pm to 6:30pm.

Boo Bash at Katy Mills Mall | FREE – Bring your ghouls, goblins, and little monsters to the AMC Plaza as Katy Mills Mall hosts a Boo Bash with trick or treating in a family-friendly environment. 5pm to 7pm.

Trunk or Treat at The Health Museum | FREE Gather the whole family for an evening of thrills and chills as The Health Museum’s community partners deck out their cars with wickedly cool decorations and hand out treats. 5pm to 8pm.

Halloween Costume Party at Altitude at Marriott Marquis Houston  The family-friendly Halloween bash features movie experiences, live entertainment, bites and 6, costumes, and festive decor at Marriott Marquis Houston’s Altitude. $30 per person. Complimentary for hotel guests. 5pm to 10pm.

Millennial Networking: Halloween Edition at Hilton Rooftop Bar 9 – Join Houston Millennials for a Halloween rooftop networking event with a $1,000 costume contest, a live DJ, 360 video booths, and more. $30. 6pm to 9pm.

Punch Party at Rienzi  Pull up for a masquerade ball at MFAH’s house for European decorative arts in River Oaks to enjoy English punch, tour the collection and enjoy music at the pool garden and on the terrace. $65. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Haunted Historic Tours at The George Ranch – Go back in time with a paranormal investigator and look for ghosts, time slips, and other supernatural occurrences from the past. Best for ages 13 and older. $16 per person. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Drunk Dracula at the Emerald Theatre – One daring actor tackles the tale of Dracula… after downing five shots of whiskey, hilariously attempting to retell the classic tale of Transylvania’s thirstiest vampire. Meanwhile, you can savor craft cocktails as they are delivered directly to your seat. $49 and up. 7pm and 9pm.

Haute Halloween Night Out at Cru  The Jersey Village nightclub will feature photo ops, face painting, food trucks, a live set from DJ Ratchett, and more for Halloween night. $10; free until 10pm with costume and RSVP. 7pm to 11:30pm.

Boo-Haus: Themba DJ Set Bauhaus Houston – Known for his dynamic blend of deep house and Afro-house as well as infectious rhythms and energetic performance, Bauhaus nightclub welcomes the South African Afro-house legend, Themba. $9.95 and up. 8pm.

Halloween Party at Whiskey River North – Dress in your costume and enjoy drink specials on Bicardi and Crown Royal, live DJs in the main room and patio, a taco stand, and a $1,000 costume contest. Cover TBD; free until 9pm with a costume. 8pm to 10pm.

Halloween Dinner & Costume Party at Se7en Restaurant & Wine Garden  Feast on tasty food, sip vino and show off your best costume all while jamming to live DJs at this Upper Kirby restaurant. $25 and up. 8pm to 2am.

The Midtown Massacre Halloween Costume Party at 40 All – The Midtown sports bar hosts a Halloween costume dance party with 4 DJs spinning hip hop, Afrobeats, and house music, plus games, vendors, and a costume contest. $5 and up. 8pm to 2am.

Halloween at Z on 23 Rooftop – The sophisticated rooftop bar located at Le Méridien Hotel in Downtown hosts a Halloween bash with a live set from DJ Mitch Warring. 9pm to midnight.

Beetlejuice Halloween Costume Party at Red Lion British Pub | No Cover – The popular River Oaks-adjacent British pub hosts a Beetlejuice-themed halloween party complete with a live DJ, drink specials, and a $1,000 prize for best male and female costumes. 9pm to midnight.

Post Apocalypse Party at Post Houston  Post Houston transforms the X atrium space into a post apocalyptic venue with prizes for best costumes, cirque-style performers, an unearthly curated market called “The Graveyard”, and live DJs. $20; $40 for VIP. 9pm to 1am.

Massacre On Main St. at Dome Nightclub | No Cover – Downtown’s multi-room nightclub hosts its Halloween bash with live sets from DJ Justo, DJ Youngstreetz, and MC Kane. 9pm to 2am.

Halloween Party at Metropolis & Extravaganza – The Latin dance club in Westchase hosts a Halloween event with live DJs, drinks specials, a spooky atmosphere, and $5,000 in cash and prizes for the best costumes. Cover TBD. 9pm to 2am.

Halloween Party at The Decoy – Dress in your spookiest costume as the Energy Corridor bar hosts a Halloween party with live DJs, drinks, eerie decorations, and a cash prize costume contest. $10. 9pm to 2am.

Karaoke: Halloween Edition at The Secret Group | No Cover – Sing some Halloween classics and other creepy tunes at EaDo’s Secret Group. 10pm to 2am.
