• Comedian Isabel Hagen at The Riot Comedy Club (Confirmed) | Friday & Saturday – The comedian and classically-trained violist comes to Houston, bringing the style and spirit that made her a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs festival in Montréal. In addition to being featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she’s also played violin in the orchestra for Les Misérables, Fiddler on the Roof, The Lion King and others. $20 and up. 7pm.
• Summer Symphony Nights with Houston Symphony at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday & Saturday | FREE – Guest conductor Kellen Gray leads the orchestra in an evening of all-American music. Experience the classical repertoire including Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess concert suite, “Catfish Row,” and the sounds of jazz and jubilee on the concert stage. Florence Price’s turbulent third symphony caps off the concert. 8:30pm.
• Island Vybz Reggae Fest at Beach Central in Galveston (Postponed to September) | Friday & Saturday – Head to the heart of the osland along the seawall for a two-day celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and community spirit. $20 for a single day; $25 for both days. Times vary.
• Comedian Donnell Rawlings at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – Featured on a long list of celebrated television programs like Chappelle’s Show, The Last OG, and Twenties, the comedian and actor Donnell Rawlings comes to Houston for a weekend of laughs at the Improv. $70 for 2, and up. Times vary.

• Totally Tubular Festival at 713 Music Hall (Confirmed) – Legendary bands of the ’80s come together for a night of throwback tunes from groups like Modern English, Men Without Hats, Wang Chung, Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, and more. $53.50 and up. 6:20pm.

• Save The Locals Summer Concert: Chuy y Fiel at Menard Park | FREE – The good folks behind behind Galveston’s La Izquierda Surf and Music Festival welcome Chuy y Fiel, with Jason Lenning opening, to the island’s weekly summer celebration of Texas coast musicians. 6pm to 9pm.
• Girl Dinner Official Launch Party at Private Client (Confirmed) – The intimate cocktail bar in the heart of EaDo launches its new girl dinner series with a party featuring a special menu, complete with cocktail, a tiny tattoo pop-up, hat bar, games, and more. $25 gets you a Caesar salad, parmesan truffle fries, and your choice from a menu of martinis. 6pm to 10pm.
• Candlelight presents The Best of Hans Zimmer at Lone Star Flight Museum – The Listeso String Quartet performs selections from some of Zimmer’s most loved scores, including The Lion King, The Pacific and Pirates of the Caribbean in this multi-sensory experience. $45 and up. 7pm and 9:15pm.
• La La Land Movie Screening at Market Square Park | FREE – The Downtown park offers a screening of the 2016 Oscar winner starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, about a pair of struggling artists falling in love and trying to make it big in Los Angeles. 8pm.
• You Should Know Podcast at House of Blues (Confirmed) – Best friends Peyton Hardin and Cameron Kennedy come to Houston to record their popular podcast. Be part of the audience as they share secrets and make fun of each other in the way only close friends can do. $35 and up. 8pm.
• Swipe Right Dating Game Show at The Riot Comedy Show (Confirmed) – Ditch the dating apps and try your hand at a live comedy dating show led by comedians Jeff Joe and Lotto Marie, including competitions for singles and for couples already paired up. You can stay in the audience or become a contestant. $8 and up. 9pm.

• Summer Bash: Early 2000s Theme Party at Belle Station (Sold Out) | FREE – The Midtown spot hosts this night of nostalgia with interactive activities, and throwback hip-hop, reggae and R&B hits, plus fashion and big vibes. Dress to impress in your early 2000s best. 6pm to 2am.
• GZA & Inspectah Deck at Warehouse Live Midtown (Postponed to September) – The iconic members of Wu-Tang Clan, one of the most legendary hip-hop groups of all time, GZA & Inspectah Deck bring the east coast rap vibes to the third coast. $40 and up. 7pm.
• The Murder Mystery Co. presents Good Riddance at Pinstripes (Confirmed) – This interactive comedic mystery set in the 1990s allows guests to play alongside actors to solve a crime. Guests will untangle the mystery while navigating through ’90s pop culture references. $59. 7pm.
• Mixers & Elixirs at Houston Museum of Natural Science (Confirmed) – Party amid prehistory when HMNS returns with another edition of its popular Mixers & Elixirs series, which offers a dance floor to groove on, along with cash bars and local food trucks on hand. $25. 7pm to 10pm.
• Noche de Cumbia: Grupo Pegasso in Concert at Axelrad (Confirmed) | FREE – The Third Ward watering hole hosts its monthly evening of cumbia music on the outdoor stage, inviting Grupo Pegasso to bring their pioneering style of cumbia pegassera, along with El Tigeron, DJ Pedacito, Chido Machine, and more. Ages 21 and up. 7pm to 2am.
• Summer Slashers: Horror Art Show & Night Market at Hardy & Nance Studios (Postponed) | FREE – Celebrate the slashers of the horror genre in this expansive art show featuring work by local artists paying tribute to film and TV culture. • Boo’s Burgers Pop-Up at Shipley’s Do-Nuts (Postponed) – Award-winning chef Joseph Boudreaux brings a special Boo’s Burgers menu to Shipley’s Do-Nuts on Ardmore Street, near Old Spanish Trail, in a collaboration with an historic Houston franchise. Come by to enjoy morning specialties, visit with reps from Meow Wolf, and more. 7:13am ’til sellout.
• 713 Day & Alotta Michelada at 8th Wonder Brewery (Confirmed) – The EaDo brewery hosts its second annual Michelada Mix-Off, giving you access to more than 20 Michelada challengers, plus 3 beverage tokens and a souvenir pint glass. Good Market HTX will also be on-site with local vendors, and you can take in live music and a Donkeeboy surprise. $35 and up. Noon to 4pm.
• 713 Day Fest at Chapman & Kirby (Confirmed) | FREE – In EaDo, this chic cocktailery hosts a market with more than two dozen vendors, food trucks, plus a DJ and live music to celebrate all things Houston. Noon to 6pm.
• Cadillacs & Coffee at J-Bar-M Barbecue (Confirmed) | FREE – The Houston enthusiast club of Cadillac owners brings their unique and modified rides to the EaDo barbecue joint for an afternoon special of their Cadillacs & Coffee event. 1pm to 6pm.
• 713 Day Beer Release: The Blacker The Berry at For the Culture Brewing (Confirmed)– Houston’s only Black-owned brewery is throwing a 713 Day bash in the Lazybrook area, celebrating the release of their rice lager, “The Blacker The Berry.” Food trucks will be on hand and DJ Marc West will deliver the grooves for this brew and apparel release event. $25 and up. 2pm to 6pm.
• Saint Arnold 713 Day Downtown Pub Crawl (Confirmed) | No Cover – The popular pub crawl through Downtown returns on 713 Day, sending you through seven stops before ending at Market Square Park for the We Heart Hou concert. Locations include Flying Saucer, McIntyre’s, Angel Share, Little Dipper and others. Once you punch your card at each of the seven, you can go pick up a commemorative pint glass. 2pm to 6pm.
• 713 Day: Paul Wall & Lil’ Keke in Concert at Home Run Dugout (Canceled) – The H-Town rap legends join forces for a night of Houston celebration at the Katy baseball bar, which also hosts an exotic and custom car show along with exclusive merch, and more. $40 and up. 2pm to midnight.
• 713 Houston Day: Heatwave Pool Party at Space Cowboy (Confirmed) – The Heights hotel and pool bar hosts a daylong party with DJs playing throughout, plus food and drink. $15 and up. 3pm to 11pm.
• 713 Day with Lil Flip at Karbach Brewing Co. (Confirmed) | FREE – Throw them H’s up at the Spring Branch brewery for a special 713 day celebration featuring Screwed Up Click alum, Lil Flip. 4pm.
• 713 Day: We Heart HOU Music Series at Market Square Park (Confirmed) | FREE – The historic Market Square Park hosts a special 713 Day edition of the We Heart Hou music series, featuring live tunes from Aire Fresco and EZ Band, plus a market space with more than 20 vendors doling out unique crafts, food, and refreshing drinks to enjoy on the lawn. 5pm to 8pm.
• Houston Culture Fest presents 713 Day at Harrisburg Art Museum (Confirmed) – More than 100 vendors turn out to this East End celebration of Houston, along with a live DJ, live graffiti art, giveaways, and a slab contest at night with a cash prize. $15. 5pm to 11pm.
• Summer Nights at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (Confirmed) – Enjoy the museum after hours as this popular program returns. Guests can explore all galleries and exhibitions, chat with curators, grab a cocktail and listen to music. Entry includes one complimentary drink per admission ticket. • Summer Cookout at Hamsa (Confirmed) – Two top Houston chefs are collaborating on a cultural summer cookout—Hamsa Chef Yotam Dolev and Chef Dominick Lee—combining the flavors of Tel Aviv and New Orleans with inspiration from cookouts both chefs attended growing up. The family-style meal features dishes such as blackened chicken kebab with black tahini sauce and charred tomato, lemon harissa Gulf shrimp grits with Louisiana chow chow, Marguez jambalaya with raisins and pine nuts, and challah banana foster bread pudding. $65 per person. • Bastille Day at Rice Stadium (Confirmed) | FREE with RSVP – The French American Chamber of Commerce hosts this celebration of France’s national holiday. There will be food vendors, music performances, and an array of sporting events in a nod to the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Early bird tickets are free; registration required. 5pm to 10pm.
• Chef David Cordúa Kitchen Takeover at Wooster’s Garden (Postponed) | No Cover – The chef and owner of The Lymbar creates a hand-crafted menu for this one night–only event in Midtown. Enjoy options like mini tacos with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, lime, feta, and cilantro; a 44 Farms Muffaletta Dog with melted mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onion, olive, mustard BBQ, and sesame; a fried chicken sandwich on a potato bun with baby gem lettuce, garlic aioli, and pickles; and more. 6pm.
