  • Summer Symphony Nights with Houston Symphony at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday & Saturday | FREE – Guest conductor Kellen Gray leads the orchestra in an evening of all-American music. Experience the classical repertoire including Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess concert suite, “Catfish Row,” and the sounds of jazz and jubilee on the concert stage. Florence Price’s turbulent third symphony caps off the concert. 8:30pm.
  • Island Vybz Reggae Fest at Beach Central in Galveston (Postponed to September) | Friday & Saturday – Head to the heart of the osland along the seawall for a two-day celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and community spirit. $20 for a single day; $25 for both days. Times vary.
  • Comedian Donnell Rawlings at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – Featured on a long list of celebrated television programs like Chappelle’s Show, The Last OG, and Twenties, the comedian and actor Donnell Rawlings comes to Houston for a weekend of laughs at the Improv. $70 for 2, and up.   • Save The Locals Summer Concert: Chuy y Fiel at Menard Park | FREE – The good folks behind behind Galveston’s La Izquierda Surf and Music Festival welcome Chuy y Fiel, with Jason Lenning opening, to the island’s weekly summer celebration of Texas coast musicians. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Girl Dinner Official Launch Party at Private Client (Confirmed) – The intimate cocktail bar in the heart of EaDo launches its new girl dinner series with a party featuring a special menu, complete with cocktail, a tiny tattoo pop-up, hat bar, games, and more. $25 gets you a Caesar salad, parmesan truffle fries, and your choice from a menu of martinis. 6pm to 10pm.

  • GZA & Inspectah Deck at Warehouse Live Midtown (Postponed to September) – The iconic members of Wu-Tang Clan, one of the most legendary hip-hop groups of all time, GZA & Inspectah Deck bring the east coast rap vibes to the third coast. $40 and up. 7pm.
  • The Murder Mystery Co. presents Good Riddance at Pinstripes (Confirmed) – This interactive comedic mystery set in the 1990s allows guests to play alongside actors to solve a crime. Guests will untangle the mystery while navigating through ’90s pop culture references. $59. 7pm.

  • 713 Day & Alotta Michelada at 8th Wonder Brewery (Confirmed) – The EaDo brewery hosts its second annual Michelada Mix-Off, giving you access to more than 20 Michelada challengers, plus 3 beverage tokens and a souvenir pint glass.   • 713 Day Fest at Chapman & Kirby (Confirmed) | FREE – In EaDo, this chic cocktailery hosts a market with more than two dozen vendors, food trucks, plus a DJ and live music to celebrate all things Houston. Noon to 6pm.
  • Cadillacs & Coffee at J-Bar-M Barbecue (Confirmed) | FREE – The Houston enthusiast club of Cadillac owners brings their unique and modified rides to the EaDo barbecue joint for an afternoon special of their Cadillacs & Coffee event. 1pm to 6pm.
  • 713 Day Beer Release: The Blacker The Berry at For the Culture Brewing (Confirmed)– Houston’s only Black-owned brewery is throwing a 713 Day bash in the Lazybrook area, celebrating the release of their rice lager, “The Blacker The Berry.” Food trucks will be on hand and DJ Marc West will deliver the grooves for this brew and apparel release event. $25 and up. 2pm to 6pm.
  • Saint Arnold 713 Day Downtown Pub Crawl (Confirmed) | No Cover – The popular pub crawl through Downtown returns on 713 Day, sending you through seven stops before ending at Market Square Park for the We Heart Hou concert. Locations include Flying Saucer, McIntyre’s, Angel Share, Little Dipper and others. Once you punch your card at each of the seven, you can go pick up a commemorative pint glass. 2pm to 6pm.
  • 713 Day: Paul Wall & Lil’ Keke in Concert at Home Run Dugout (Canceled) – The H-Town rap legends join forces for a night of Houston celebration at the Katy baseball bar, which also hosts an exotic and custom car show along with exclusive merch, and more. $40 and up. 2pm to midnight.

  • 713 Day: We Heart HOU Music Series at Market Square Park (Confirmed) | FREE – The historic Market Square Park hosts a special 713 Day edition of the We Heart Hou music series, featuring live tunes from Aire Fresco and EZ Band, plus a market space with more than 20 vendors doling out unique crafts, food, and refreshing drinks to enjoy on the lawn. 5pm to 8pm.
