Put on your derby best for a blowout bash at the 10th Kentucky Derby Party at Julep on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 1pm to 6pm.

Julep is gearing up for a posh pony affair when the Southern cocktailery hosts its 10th annual Kentucky Derby Party in early May.

Helmed by James Beard Award-winning owner Alba Huerta, the Washington Avenue spot provides an immersive, fully tented event with thousands of flowers serving as a vibrant backdrop to the day’s festivities. Guests are encouraged to show up in their derby best, with stylish hats, florals and bright colors filling the bar areas throughout the day.

Derby Day libations will take center stage, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. Alongside the signature Mint Julep, expect craft cocktails from multiple bars, a whiskey bar and hydration station, plus no and low–alcohol beverages.

Delicious bites will also be served up throughout the day by Chef Michelle Wallace of B’tween Sandwich Co. and a current contestant on Top Chef.

DJ G-Funk and DJ Goodfat will provide lively vibes from the decks, while Breakfast at Tiffany’s will take the stage for a live set of dance and party music. The spirited celebration will culminate with a viewing of the iconic horse race.
