Tour a constellation of out-of-this-world interactive installations at Galaxy Lights, presented by Reliant, at Space Center Houston, on view now through New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Now in its final days, Galaxy Lights at Space Center Houston offers a stellar spectacle that twinkles throughout the campus and allows guests to step through space-themed light installations, take in high-tech experiences, and walk among flown spacecraft in a one-of-a-kind holiday event that can only be found in Space City.
Channeling the wonders of space exploration, this popular immersive event offers guests the chance to interact with light displays and tour through hundreds of thousands of lights in advanced demonstrations, including the crystal fireworks show that comes to life on a 40-foot-tall cascading display that dazzles in the different colors of the galaxy—one of only two displays of its kind in the world.
A one-of-a-kind holiday spectacle
Galaxy Lights lets guests explore the festive transformation of the Space Center Houston campus, taking in choreographed light shows and displays that tell the story of astronauts that venture into the final frontier.
The supersized spectacle also includes a 200-foot long LED light tunnel that sends families and friends through more than 250,000 synchronized lights set to holiday tunes, plus guests will walk among massive light installations that tell the story of space like the 30-foot tall Space Launch System rocket, a twice-flown SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, and under the wing of the historic space shuttle carrier aircraft where you can hop around an interactive light pad.
While there, don’t forget to enjoy festive goodies including s’more pits, hot cocoa, and more.
