Plan out your Pride Month with our guide to all-out bashes, parties, and special events taking place in Houston throughout June 2022.

For the first time in a few years, Pride Month is upon us and it brings with it a packed slate of events across the city of Houston.

Of course, the annual parade and celebration which routinely draws hundreds of thousands returns to Downtown during Pride Weekend—Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26—but you can find plenty more to do every weekend in June.

We’ve gathered some of the biggest events taking place during Pride Month, June 2022.

2022 Pride Month Events in Houston

Week of Monday, May 30

  • Tacos & Tours at Holocaust Museum Houston | Sunday, June 5 – Join NEXTGen, the young professionals’ group of HMH, for a morning of breakfast tacos and a tour of Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Hear also from Mitchell Avila Katine, co-counsel of the Lawrence v. Texas case which laid the foundation for the historic 2015 same-sex marriage decision. Free, with a suggested donation. 10:30am to noon.
  • Official Pride Market at Karbach Brewing | Sunday, June 5 | No Cover – Kick off Pride Month when Karbach teams up with Pride Houston 365 for an official biergarten extravaganza featuring food trucks, vendors, drag queens, DJ tunes, giveaways, games and more. 11am to 6pm.
  • Alyssa Edwards: Love, Life & Lashes at Wortham Center | Sunday, June 5 – The Ru-Paul All-Star and host of Netflix’s Dancing Queen, Alyssa Edwards brings hilarious tales of her life to the stage in Downtown. $39.50 and up. 8pm.

Week of Monday, June 6

  • Pride Houston’s Rock the Cogniac at Belle Station | Saturday, June 11 | FREE with RSVP – Teaming up with The Flava Team, Pride Houston sets up shop at Belle Station in Midtown for masterfully handcrafted cocktails that feature NYAK cognac, plus mimosas, swag, live DJs, and more. Noon to 7pm.
  • Pride Chorus Houston presents Pride! A Concert at the Emery/Weiner School | Saturday, June 11 – Enjoy a slate of beloved gay anthems and songs from notable queer artists at this singalong celebration from Pride Chorus Houston in Southwest Houston, then stick around for complimentary refreshments and post-show mingling. $20; $10 for ages 12 and under. 8pm.
  • Houston Pride Band presents Celebrations at MATCH | Saturday, June 11 – Get grooving to summer block party vibes when Houston Pride Band brings the brass for a night celebrating Pride Season with music like Festive Overture, “La Fiesta Mexicana,” songs from Kool and the Gang, and more. $15; $5 for ages 12 and under. 8pm.
  • Houston Dash vs. Portland Thorns at PNC Stadium | Sunday, June 12 – Come early to see the Dash take on Portland and receive a Dash Pride Hat with rainbow accents for Pride Night in EaDo. $12 and up. 6pm.

Week of Monday, June 13

  • Backstreet Boys at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Tuesday, June 14 – The Woodlands plays host to the best-selling boy band of the ’90s, Backstreet Boys, who amassed countless No. 1 hits and well over 100 million albums sold. $39 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Pride Happy Hour at Moody Center for the Arts | Wednesday, June 15 | FREE – Pride Chorus Houston and DJ GNDRBNDR come together for this Pride happy hour event on the Rice University campus. Plus, enjoy complimentary specialty cocktails from Social Beer Garden, and catch a glimpse of the latest exhibition, Baseera Khan: Weight on History. 5pm to 7pm.
  • And Through Their Eyes Grow Thorns Exhibition at MATCH | Thursday, June 16 to Friday, June 24 | FREE – Curated by Kevin Dapree Anderson and presented by the T.R.U.T.H. Project, this week-long exhibition at MATCH explores storytelling through a queer lens of color. Times vary.
  • Pride DIY Dumpling & Beer To-Go Packs at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. | Friday, June 17 – The Heights brewery pairs up with Dumpling Dudez for a colorful array of to-go packs, featuring a 4-pack of Lavender Bunny Cream Ale along with a dozen rainbow dumplings in flavors like vegan curry mash; Korean bulgogi bacon cheeseburger; and pork, leak and shiitake mushroom. Note that these are meant to be taken home, cooked and assembled on your own. $40. Pick-up from 4pm to 7pm.
  • The Big Gay Revue at Rudyard’s Pub | Friday, June 17 – The monthly Rock ‘n’ Roll Revue burlesque show gets a Pride Month edition featuring LGBTQIA performers on stage at Rudyard’s Pub. $15 in advance; $20 at the door; VIP options available. 10pm.
  • Soaked: Official Pride Houston Pool Party at Clé | Saturday, June 18 – Pride Houston 365 makes a splash with their vibe-filled pool party in Midtown, featuring multiple DJs on the decks, dancers, games and prizes, food and drink specials, and more. $25 in advance; $30 at the door; VIP daybeds and cabanas available. 2pm to 8pm.
  • Pride Bar Crawl at Buddy’s Houston | Saturday, June 18 – Check in at Buddy’s in Montrose then head to any of the 9 participating bars with Pride drink specials at this bar crawl that spills over into Midtown, followed by an official after-party. $20; discounts available for groups of 4 and more. 4pm to midnight.
  • Pride Art Show 2022 at Hardy & Nance Studios | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – The near-Downtown art studio unveils their 2022 Pride Show which brings together members of all communities to use their art as a positive form of expression against discrimination and violence. 5pm to 9pm.
  • The Riot Comedy Show presents Cara Connors at Rudyard’s Pub | Saturday, June 18 – The Just For Laughs comedian brings her latest solo show, Straight for Pay, to the Montrose British pub’s upstairs stage for a late set on Saturday night. $12 and up. 11pm.
  • Houston Symphony presents The Music of Whitney Houston at Hobby Center | Sunday, June 19 – Rashidra Scott’s powerful vocals join the mix as the Symphony performs some of the biggest hits of pop diva Whitney Houston’s storied career, including “Saving All My Love,” “How Will I Know?” and “I Will Always Love You.” $34 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Pride Desserts & Covenant House Texas Fundraiser at Kenny & Ziggy’s | Sunday, June 19 to Saturday, June 25 – Deliman, chef and owner Ziggy Gruber will be loading shelves with his specialty rainbow cookies ($17.95 per pound) and Rainbow Cake ($50 whole or $5.95 by the slice), with 10% of every sale to the Covenant House Texas and its mission to provide shelter for homeless, abused and abandoned youth. The special, off-the-menu items will only be available for one week.

Week of Monday, June 20

  • Houston Astros vs. New York Mets at Minute Maid Park | Tuesday, June 21 – It’s Pride Night at the ballpark for the first game of this back-to-back series, featuring a fanny pack giveaway to the first 10,000 fans, Pride entertainment and dollar dogs at the concession stands. $19 and up. 7pm.
  • Pride in Business Celebration & Awards at Downtown Aquarium | Wednesday, June 22 – Emceed by ABC13’s Melanie Lawson, this business community event highlights the work of LGBTQ+ and Allied businesses and the ways they seek to realize a better Houston together. $115 in advance; $135 at the door. 11:30am to 1:30pm
  • Pride Houston presents Lounge One at Secret Garden HTX | Thursday, June 23 | FREE with RSVP – Embrace wellness and self-care at an official Pride Houston 365 pop-up event featuring a spritz bar, healthy bites, wellness activities, live entertainment, and a calming and healing experience. RSVPs required by Monday, June 20, 2022 and limited to first 150 attendees. 4pm to 8pm.
  • Rock the Runway 2022: Official Pride Houston Fashion Show at Rise Rooftop | Thursday, June 23 – Pride Houston 365 returns to the runway with a celebration of haute styles, the latest fashions in ladies evening wear, and plenty of avant-garde statements from LGBTQIA+ designers. $5 in advance; VIP options available. 6pm to 11pm.
  • Sugar Land Space Cowboys vs. Tacoma Rainiers at Constellation Field | Thursday, June 23 – Pride Night comes to Sugar Land with a pregame happy hour, a fanny pack add-on to your ticket, and more. Plus, enjoy $2 select draft beers and sodas for Thirsty Thursdays. $7 and up. 7pm.
  • Lady Bunny at Warehouse Live | Thursday, June 23 – The iconic drag queen from New York City comes to Houston for a night of razor-sharp wit, sensational humor and laugh-out-loud moments from the living legend. $25 in advance; $29 day of show. 8pm.
