- The Butcher’s Ball Dinner at Houston City Place Marriott – The big weekend kicks off with a one-two punch of an event, starting with a curated four-course dinner presented with the highly renowned Butcher’s Ball and combining the talents of three Bravo Top Chef contestants—Evelyn Garcia, Dawn Burrell and Sasha Grumman. MKT Distillery will be pairing each course with a signature cocktail and whiskey. After the dinner, guests are invited to join the exclusive Yelp Elites Whiskey Under the Stars tasting event happening next door with samplings from Still Austin and Old Humble Distilling Company, along with cigar rolling, and live music. $150. 6pm to 10:30pm.

- Collecting Whiskey 101 with Cal Norris at Houston City Place Marriott | FREE with RSVP – Saturday’s live seminar series in the poolside Canopy room starts with a 45-minute course on the best ways to start and build your whiskey collection. 10am
- The Business of Whiskey at Houston City Place Marriott | FREE with RSVP – Learn what makes the whiskey industry tick and what goes into making your favorite brown beverage. 12:30pm.
- The Perfect Pour: A Whiskey Cocktail Class with Patrick Abalos at Houston City Place Marriott | FREE with RSVP – Not Too Sweet Ventures’ Abalos reveals how to mix the perfect whiskey drinks for any occasion. 2pm.
- A Taste of City Place at City Place Plaza – The weekend’s signature outdoor tasting event happens out on the plaza, featuring numerous whiskey tastings from makers including MKT Distillery, Devil’s River Whiskey, Gentle Ben, Frontier Spirits, Hill Country Distillers, Still Austin, Rebecca Creek, Blackland Distillery, and more. There will also be a number of food samplings from notable chefs, including award-winning pitmaster Ara Malekian of Harlem Road Texas BBQ in Richmond and Austin Simmons of acclaimed Tris in The Woodlands. Live music will keep the energy high throughout the late afternoon and evening, with performances by Rapture, Jake Bush, and Johnathan Tyler and The Northern Lights. Naturally, a cash bar will also be available. $65 for both whiskey and chef samplings; $35 for chef only sampling; $45 for whiskey only sampling. 3pm to 8pm.
