The annual fundraising event from AIDS Foundation Houston goes virtual this year and is packed with a slate of intriguing speakers, alongside performances by America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Christina Wells and the iconic Houston drag queen superstar, Dessie Love-Blake.
Hosted by Houston Public Media’s Ernie Manouse, the World AIDS Day event brings together speakers passionate about ending the global AIDS epidemic, including fashion designer Mondo Guerra, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, former Houston Mayor Annise Parker, and more.
This year’s keynote speaker and recipient of the Shelby Hodge Vision Award is Cleve Jones, an HIV activist with roots in San Francisco that date back to the 1970s and founder of the NAMES Project National AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Giving Tuesday
The World AIDS Day virtual event will be held on Giving Tuesday, a global annual day of spreading generosity and charity to organizations and communities that rely on public support to accomplish their mission.
Those who connect with the cause are welcome to contribute, helping to support AIDS Foundation Houston in its mission to end the HIV epidemic in Houston and to provide education, testing, housing and supportive services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
