The #11 Overall Pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans and 2012, 2014, and 2015 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, JJ Watt has become known as a star both on and off the field with his passion for playing and compassion for helping others.
The all-star Defensive End’s fundraising campaign to aid Hurricane Harvey relief efforts has already surpassed its goal of $10 million and is sailing past $15 million currently.
In addition to providing relief to Hurricane Harvey victims, the foundation’s mission has always been to provide after-school opportunities for middle-school aged children in the community to become involved in athletics, so that they may learn the character traits of accountability, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, and perseverance, while in a safe and supervised environment with their peers.
