Get a workout in before eating your weight in turkey and napping on the couch by running in the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2015.
Start Thanksgiving Day off on the right foot by running in the annual Turkey Trot.
Runners can race through the Galleria area competing for the fastest time, or stroll at a slower pace with an untimed registration.
The whole family can participate – strollers are welcome and there’s a 1k for kiddos under 13 – and every finisher goes home with a medal.
The 5k race begins at Dillard’s near the Galleria and continues up Post Oak, down San Felipe and back, while the 10k and kids run both travel down Westheimer.
Want to take it easy on Thanksgiving Day instead? Sign up for sleep-in registration and you’ll be donating to a good cause without having to change out of your pjs.
Funds that are raised through registration for this race benefit Neighborhood Centers.
