Learn all about Mexican free-tailed bats from Ecologist Cullen Gaiselman, Ph.D., Houston Parks Board member Jed Aplaca, the Houston Parks and Recreation Department Natural Resources Manager and representatives from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department during this free event. These experts will be sharing their knowledge on these nocturnal creatures.
Guests can participate in bat-themed activities – provided by the Houston Area Bat Team – beginning at 6:30pm.
At dusk, the bats will emerge from under the Watonga Boulevard Bridge for their evening hunt.
In the event of rain, this event will be rescheduled for Friday, September 18.
