Let the good times roll at the Houston Creole Heritage Festival and Mardi Gras Parade taking place at Discovery Green on Saturday, February 7, 2015.

Celebrate Creole heritage with food, music and activities at this all-day Mardi Gras-themed festival and parade at Discovery Green.

Spend the morning watching floats adorned in purple, green and gold travel through downtown, or join in on a second line in true Mardi Gras fashion. The parade starts on Bell Street near the Toyota Center, continues down Austin St. and ends at Discovery Green.

Bring the whole family for arts and crafts, festival games, a kids area and finger lickin’ Creole-inspired food.

Get your fill of live music from a lineup of artists like Step Rideau & The Zydeco Outlaws, The Hustlers Brass Band, DJ New Orleans, Platinum Players Zydeco Band and Brass-A-Holic.

The event is organized by Houston Sweet Hour of Prayer Ministries, Inc. – a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for scholarships and educational programs across Texas.
