  • Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park | Daily – Cheer on the World Series champs as they take on the Angels in a four-game series in Downtown. $24 and up. Times vary.
  • Galveston Ballet presents Sleeping Beauty at the Grand 1894 Opera House | Thursday & Friday – Tchaikovsky’s iconic ballet is brought to life in this production with beautiful choreography and a moving score, presented in the historic opera house of Galveston. $67 and up. 7pm.
  • Special Offer at Sisu Clinic in Montrose Collective | Thursday to Saturday – The only Texas location of Europe’s largest medspa, the brand new Sisu Clinic at the sleep Montrose Collective is offering a special treatment that includes three areas of Botox and a free lip flip for $495.   • Go Bananas! at Houston Botanic Garden | Friday & Saturday – The annual celebration of the world’s most popular tropical fruit returns to the South Houston botanical gardens, offering a day of educational offerings on banana-related topics, cooking demonstrations with Chef Keisha Griggs, a farmer’s market, kid’s zone and more. $145 for Friday’s pop-up dinner; $65 for Saturday’s brunch; $15 for the Saturday festival.   • Comedian Nimesh Patel at Houston Improv | Friday & Saturday – The standup comedian and Emmy Award–nominated writer of Saturday Night Live performs in Houston. $120 for 4, and up. Times vary

  • Casamigos Tequila Dinner at Radio Milano – This three-course dinner pairs Casamigos Tequila cocktails with incredible food from Moran CityCentre’s Executive Chef Christian Cardenas. Look for dishes like coffee-rubbed Denver steak with seasonal veggies on ancho aioli, paired with a mole Old Fashioned, and more. $95 per person. 6pm.
  • Zumba at Emancipation Park | FREE – End your day with this fun fitness class in Third Ward, perfect for all levels and ages. High-energy dance moves and upbeat music promise a workout that will leave you feeling powerful. 6pm to 7pm.
  • Beetle Thursdays at Continental Club – The Mid-Main venue hosts one of Houston’s best Beatles cover bands in their weekly Fab Four concert series. $10. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Fun After Five at the Shout House | No Cover – The Conroe Chamber of Commerce hosts this happy hour and networking event for business-minded folks in the area. 5pm to 7pm.

The supersized annual exhibition at Lawndale returns, presenting new work by artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of the art space. Enjoy drinks and eats from Moon Rooster food truck as you take in an exciting show of thought-provoking artwork.

  • Clan of Xymox in Concert at Numbers Nightclub – The Dutch pioneers of darkwave music come to the iconic nightclub for a live concert. $25 and up. 9pm.

  • Summer Exhibitions Reception at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft | FREE – The crafts museum celebrates the opening of Gabo Martinez: The Land of Flowers—a collection of ceramics and printmaking with Indigenous influences—and Layla Klinger: Hot House, an exhibition featuring larger-than-life electroluminescent installations laced throughout the gallery space. Complimentary Buffalo Bayou beverages will also be on hand. 5:30pm to 8pm.
  • All-Access Market at Railway Heights Market | No Cover – Themed for the rich world of botanicals, plants and nature, this art market features offerings from dozens of local vendors doling out goods in food, jewelry, clothing, artwork and more. 6pm to 11pm.
  • Jubilee: A Celebration of Freedom at the Silos at Sawyer Yards | FREE – Hosted by Bisong Art Gallery, this group exhibition presents thought-provoking works that approach the concept of freedom in all its complex forms. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Pop-Up Dinner & Cocktail Pairing at Houston Botanic Garden – Enjoy great food and drink in a beautiful setting at this evening that kicks off the garden’s Go Bananas event. Chef Keisha Griggs of Ate Kitchen & Bocage Catering serves up a menu of banana-infused and inspired dishes. $145. 6pm to 10pm.
