Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, Lone Star Flight Museum is unveiling their newest exhibit, Fight to the Finish – 1945: The Final Year, which dives into the closing months of the war and how Allied forces took to the air to defeat Germany and Japan.
Witness the unfolding events brought to life through wartime images, personal accounts and rare wartime artifacts from the museum’s archives, including bomb pins from thirty missions, a flak jacket showing shrapnel damage, a Kamikaze pilot helmet and much more.

The Art of Persuasion Poster Exhibition
On the ground, the war effort is documented through The Art of Persuasion, an original poster exhibition that features twenty pieces meant to rally support on the home front, encourage participation in the war efforts and highlight the consequences of non-support.
Located throughout the Waltrip Hanger, The Art of Persuasion offers guests a glimpse of the political climate in the United States and how the power of persuasion and propaganda messaging was used from the home front to the front lines of the war.
