Nestled across the street from Discovery Green, George R. Brown Convention Center, Hilton Americas-Houston, and a block from Toyota Center, The Rustic is an open-late eatery with crafted cocktails, flavorful comfort food, and a stage that plays host to a number of country acts, singer-songwriters, and local groups.
Seating spills from the sizeable bar in the front-end of The Rustic, to a downstairs area that lines diners up for great views of performing musicians in a cavernous, partially covered patio.
Patio tables accommodate diners here, though they sometimes will be removed for larger shows to allow for crowds to gather near the front of the stage. A smaller uncovered patio tucked away to the right of the stage offers a chance to enjoy those particularly beautiful spring and fall days in Houston.
A restaurant throughout the day, The Rustic takes on a bar-venue atmosphere with music typically rolling along around 9pm. In many cases, the set times make for a relaxing way to enjoy live music, seated with delicious fare from burgers, tamales, and cactus fritters to cocktails infused with the flavors of pineapple, peaches, and strawberry.
Valet parking is on offer at the front of the venue and limited street parking and surface lots are available, though liable to high fees when events are ongoing in the area. Rideshare is encouraged or you can opt to take the MetroRail, with the Convention District stop on the Green and Purple lines just a five minute walk away.
The singer-songwriter and finalist from the singing competition show, The Voice, Dave Fenley performs live at The Rustic. Admission Free with RSVP. VIP tickets are $27. Click here for more information.
